Dr. Lee's minoxidil is less than 65 ml!!!

hey...it is on like donkey-kong my friend :-x as soon as i get the merest *sniff* of being ripped-off BOOOM i'm not gonna stand for it...it sickens me to think these arseholes have sat there and said...'hey, we're doing well outta this busines...but you know how we could make even MORE money...' and then decide what 10-15ml out of every bottle that's an extra say $20 to them every order if everyone orders say 4 or 5 bottles a time.

f*** them...i won't stand for it.

Dr. Lee suggest we all measure our bottles and if they are short he says he will give refunds. I personally think he is full of sh*t. I mean he is a legitimate guy but by dooping 15ml out of every bottle he stands to win on both fronts, this is an old marketing tool that all retailers have used but the difference is that they only lead you to believe you are getting more product, they dont lie to you.

Lewenberg did the same thing by promising 60ml in his bottles when they were actually 40ml and I consider him a huge scam artist. He saves money by providing less product and you have to re-order sooner.

Could you imagine the amount of money one makes each year, Lee specifically by cutting each bottle by 15ml? Hundreds of thousands of dollars and a screw job for us balding guys- aren't we suffering enough pain already? :-x

Has anyone who's emailed Lee asked if they're going to check some of their bottles in stock?

I can't believe Lee would knowingly short people, minoxidil is cheap as hell to make anyway.

You're over reacting. The price to dr. lee of 15ml - 5% minoxidil solution is probably less than $1. The markup on the minoxidil is probably rediculous. Intentionally supplying less minoxidil is something that is rediculous, it would save him a minimal amount. I'm almost 100% sure it's a mistake with his packaging people.

Exactly. His prices are already high enough so why would he jeopardize his business by doing that. WIth Internet the word would spread out so quickly that he would lose much more than he would gain by doing it.

Seriously I did email him and he was or seemed surprised that the quantity was not legit, he told me to send back any bottle that did not contain 65ml for exchange.

Listen Bomb the less you have the quicker you need to re-order and the more sales and profit Lee makes. I think his product is a bit overpriced at $34 per month supply. How much could it possibly cost to add Azleic acid. He should at least make the price comparable to 5% Rogaine. I saw 5% minoxidil with Azleic at hairlossproducts for $15 for 60ml?

Reducing the amount by 20%, will cause you to reorder faster. If your annual habit is $35/bottle * 12 = $420 and you are cut short 20%, you will spend $85 more.

Cost means nothing, profit everything.

Yeah but do you understand how hard is to make good realtionship with customers these days. He is already making a huge profit on his products. Why jeopardize that for a short term extra profit?

Fella's listen up its the fast buck one comes one goes. I learned the hardway with Dr. Lewenbergs formula. He has a number of tactics in place to maximize his profit and screw his customer. Body building supplement companies like Muscletech and EAS have been short shipping there customers for years in the interest of more profits and it works great.

This stuff does unfortunately happen and it makes a huge difference when you are selling millions of bottles each year. Multiply 5 million by 15ml and see what the end result is, the more he saves the less that has to be manufactured. And we have already payed for the quantity that we are getting screwed for so its a win win situation for him.

Redbone...sounds like you got the same response as me - he says he'll welcome any unopened returned bottles to check if we think they feel light or whatever or have weighed them, and will credit any that turn out to be less than is indicated on the bottle.
I said thanks for the reply but i'm not after money or credit i just want to make sure he looks into it, which he says he has done and all the filling machines etc. have been checked independently...its a big issue with them though, i got 3 replies to my initial e-mail from different people, all copies of internal memos etc. to each other.
Anyhow, i'm not arsed about compensation, so long as it doesn't happen again i won't hold it against them.

Thats true Troy, he says its a mistake but how could that happen to at least 5 different people on this board over a decent period of time? It just does not make sense, I ordered mine at the end of October and others have just recenlty ordered all with the same results, coming up short.

I dont want to hold it against them but the odds are much greater against him.

There have been a series of very similar complaints in regards to the alleged 'underfilling' of our bottles of minoxidil and Xandrox. Apparently, these have been in response to a recent posting (anonymous to me) on a forum
or news group. That posting has raised unwarranted suspicions of our integrity.

These claims have been completely unsubstantiated. I have checked the calibration on all filling machines and had my lab assistant check the calibrations independently. Neither of us found any discrepancies or errors in
the quantity of the solutions. Our measurements were the same within + or - 0.2 grams. We tested our production line and found no shortages in 217 consecutive bottles. In fact, all of the bottles of 5% Minoxidil or 5%
Xandrox contained slightly more than 65 mL of solution, because we have always made it a practice of calibrating our filling machines to fill 67 grams of liquid.

The combined weight of the plastic bottle, the cap and the solution of 5% Minoxidil or 5% Xandrox is at least 74 grams (2.6 oz.). Likewise, a bottle of Xandrox15 weighs at least 138 grams (4.8 oz.), and a bottle of 12.5%
Xandrox Lotion weighs at least 147 grams (5.2 oz). A 2 oz. jar of 5% Spironolactone Lotion weighs 86 grams (3.0 oz.). Each package shipped out of our office is weighed and recorded to verify that the number of products
in the closed package is correct and to compute shipping costs.

If you suspect that your other bottles or jar of Regrowth, LLC product does not contain at least the quantity of product stated on the container, weigh your bottle or jar. If it does not weigh as least as much as is
indicated in the preceding paragraph, please return the unopened bottle to Regrowth, LLC, 7049 Greenleaf Avenue, Whittier, CA 90602 and we will send you a replacement bottle of that particular product and extend you a $100
credit toward any future purchases. For obvious reasons, we will not accept bottles which have been opened with claims of shortages.

It seems apparent that we have been unjustly accused of defrauding our patients by providing products with a smaller amount than stated or that there is a misunderstanding in regards to the quantity of the product and the
size of the container. In any case, it does not matter where the problem lies. Although I am not impressed with your measuring technique, I am instructing our service department to send you a bottle of Product 540.
Please measure the other bottles as I have instructed above. It is our desire to answer and resolve any such issues.

Dear all members,
thank you for your time with regards to this thread. I received Dr. Lee's response and post it over here for all to see.

This is what I am going to do:-
ACTION PLAN
1. Measure remaining 2 bottle with a weighing machine (I am sure it will be less than 74 grams)
2. I will then FED EX it back to Dr. Lee. (Even if i have to pay additional charges for registered and insured parcel).
3. I will then claim for my USD100 and try to claim for my courier charges.

Excellent post we have him on the run now fellows. I know for a fact that my first Xandrox 5% bottle was short as I used it as directed 2x per day for a short period then one time per day for another period and sometimes not even at all. In any case the product was used up 7 days before it should have been and like I said I did not use it everyday as directed so this indicates a gross shortage of product.

I am merely stating a fact, if others have the same problem then my friends we have a bald conspiracy that needs to be rectified by us. Lets keep on Lee till this matter is resolved. I for one have sent him three emails in response to this subject.

Same here. My finding that my bottle of Lee's minoxidil did indeed contain more has gone largely ignored.

Lee is as legit as it gets in this business.

It's just against my findings. I have no problem with anyone seeking compensation for an under-filled bottle, but I highly suggest we measure properly. Counting squirts or sprays just isn't good enough.

You need nothing more than two 8 oz. plastic cups and a fresh bottle of Kirkland and Lee's minoxidil. Then you know for sure.

I had noticed that Lee's minoxidil seemed to run out fast even before this thread began, but I kept that suspicion to myself. Once I tried the test, I was actually quite surprised that Lee's bottle contained more than the Kirkland bottle.

I dont know how much his bottles contain, but I do know that my first bottle ran out 14 days before he said it would and that was not even applying it the 2x a day.

I am still a bit paranoid after I got screwed by Lewenberg and he definately short fills his bottles.
