First: I have been using dutasteride every 3rd day since August of 2013, and upped the dose to EOD in February of 2014. So take these results for what they are. The reason I had to start with a low dose is because finasteride gave me gynecomastia and I did not want a recurrence. During this period I have also been on Rogaine liquid once a day.
I'd assume the low dose was simply not working if my crown had gotten worse along with my hairline, but somehow I'm still receding at the hairline whereas my crown has noticeably improved! It causes the weirdest sensation of joy and terror, because I guess I'd rather have a receded hairline than a giant bald spot in my crown, but at the same time... my ****ing hairline is going!!
Have any of you experienced this? Should I up my dutasteride dose to .5mg daily since I'm not experiencing any terrible sides other than the occasional ball ache? Am I losing my hairline because I'm sensitive to testosterone, which apparently is increased by dutasteride?
Could really use some advice. Thanks guys.
