Dutasteride powder dissolved in ethanol/vodka for topical

Hopefully someone is here who could help me with this!
I am working on my own Dutasteride topical.

I have imported 5 grams of pure dutasteride powder, and I want to use 5mg per day for topical use.

Dutasteride is soluble in ethanol (44 mg / mL), methanol (64 mg / mL) and polyethylene glycol 400 (3 mg / mL), but insoluble in water.

For a solution, I use vodka (40% ethanol). I want to put 5mg dutasteride in 1ml of wodka.
A solution is now made for 100 days: 100 ml (vodka, 40%, so 40ml ethanol) and 500mg dutasteride.

This is now in a jar and I have stirred, shaken, etc., but not all of the dutasteride is dissolved in the solution. You keep seeing bits and dots floating around.

I really want the 500mg to perfectly dissolve in 100ml vodka, so that each dose of 1ml remains the same ...

Does anyone know how to solve this? Is it perhaps because dutasteride is not soluble in water? And vodka contains some water? Or is it neccesary to heat up the solution?

Holy sh*t, that's a LOT of dutasteride! Are you sure you don't mean .5mg a day?

I'll try to find the study...but I read on a forum about a guy that did bloodwork before he started Topical finasteride, and then again 6 months later. Turns out his DHT was still about 60% less than before he started the topical.

Moral of the story, your scalp will still absorb stuff into your bloodstream....and 5mg of dutasteride is a LOT!

may try heating it up and then shaking it as that might work but since you used a 60/40 h2o/EtOh solution you kind of screwed yourself. only thing you could do as a permanent solution would be to further dilute it with pure ethanol as i'm sure trying to separate the water from the etoh and dutasteride would be extremely difficult.
