dying the hair

First of all thanks for all the postings.. Some of you have amzing knowledge abt hairloss. I wish I had visited this site a year ago.

Just a question, How safe it is to dye the hair when using minoxidil spironolactone and folligen, do u recommend any particular brand? I have balck hair, but I think its turning lighter (kinda brownish) due to the topicals I use. which I think also makes hair look more thinner, so thought dying would make it look thicker.. any suggestion?

Feria has the best home dye kits hands down. If you are going lighter let me know how it works out.

Do you know from experience?

I usually color my hair black (blonde otherwise), and havn't noticed any strange things when using minoxidil at least.
I used minoxidil for a couple of months 1 year ago, whilst having black hair , and it didn't affect the colour.at least not for me that is.
For the spironolactone and stuff i can't say..

if your going dark black how could you tell if it gets green it might only look like green highlights. might actually look cool green and black. i just did mine dark black an hour ago it look great, but i dont use topicals.it does look thicker i used garnier w/ fruit extracts i didnt use the fruit stuff as not to make it lay too flat.

The same thing happened to my hair it was naturally very dark and then went lighter and made my hair look thin, so i dyed it black and now it looks a lot thicker. Haven't had any problems my hair seems a lot shinier for it too. :hairy:

Hi again,,
I mainly use garnier fructus series, but also tried loreal and some other stuff.. I don't think the differnt brand's differs so much, kinda of the same chemicals they use. But who knows..

Hmm, wouldn't it be better if you dyed your hair lighter so there is less contract between your hair and scalp? Having really dark hair makes your lighter colored scalp stand out even more right?

Yesterday I dyed my hair using the Feria from Loreal, I skipped all the topicals for 1.5 dasys(morn-night-mornin). Hair does look lot thicker, It was shinier and soft till I used Nox in the night, after that it lost its shine but I am happy It looks fuller now. I will let u guys know in case of any unprecedented results

Told you Feria was good. Did you go lighter or darker? Did the color come out as expected?

I went Darker, there's one specially for men.. Leather black shade. My buddies are actually asking what I did to my Hair 'cuz it looks so good, even I cant believe that simple dying would make so much difference. anyways it is also partly due to the fact the scalp is actually dark from the dying, Lets see how it holds up after a month
