By the time I was 21 I started taking finasteride but I the dmg was done... ~Norwood 1 on left side and really odd type of Norwood 1-2 on right side. It's like this evil half horse shoe. Rogaine doesn't work and gives me really gnarly rashes... I have thin blond hair and I'm thinking of just sucking it up and going for the quarter inch shaved look.
My hair has held steady with finasteride and I'll eventually switch over to dutasteride. I do think stress played a part in my hairloss considering my largest shed happened over a 4month period (broken ankle). My older bro of 3 years is also balding but on a much slower pace (my life is much more stressful than his). I am considering a transplant... i do not scar and I have more than enough hair on the back and sides of my head. Do you think I can even get a transplant at this age? I'm not worried about having weird balding patterns... if the rest of my hair goes out I can always get electrolysis on the transplanted hairs and just be a pure baldy.
Honestly, I look like a balding 16 year old... this sh1t has got to stop.

His hairline was impeccable, and he had 1 inch of hair right up front.... the the rest of his head back was completely bald... so obvoius and weird looking. Don't do the hair transplant until you're stabilized or mad a valient effort as treatments.

axon, if you were in my shoes(being 19 and halfway bald), you'd have no qualms with transplants.![]()
