I know now I shouldn't have said that, sorry for that. I'm not here to judge anyone.

I directed some pretty harsh stuff toward you in this thread too. Sorry.

Thank you !

I apologize too for saying mean stuff, I know it's not fun dealing with all this, especially for the ones who are still young.

My friend is off him after I told her it's a wig. For guys like him hair is crucial.

If he was open about his hair loss, his career would be officially over.

pop music is almost entirely looks. it began with the music video 0_0

thats also when selling sex got bigger too. i guess essentialy selling looks IS seling sex . . . .but theres still a difference between a pretty girl in a dress and a pretty girl with next to nothing on parading around a club.

Yes. Surprised he didn't try finasteride. Although we never really know what happened.

Sure is. If you look at videos from the 80's although most males had hair in the videos there still wasn't full on selling of your self. Videos nowadays are in another league for both men and women.

These threads blow. Usually contain so many comments crapping all over celebs that are losing their hair. How the hell do we expect to be accepted/respected by society when we don't even have respect for other bald/balding guy?. So what if he is bald and is wearing a piece. Good for him for doing something that makes him feel better about himself and possibly save his career.

Fena2000, you are nothing more than a impostor around here. You give us all the classic BS: "just shave it", "you just have to act cool", "all you need is confidence",... same garbage different time. Why don't you show us a picture of your husband so we can see what a real man looks like? I am sure he looks way better and less gay than Enrique. Give me a freakin break! If you don't like the guy why the hell would you be watching youtube videos of the guy? You can't get the dude so yeah he is gay and has no talent. Why don't you tell that to his playboy model ex girlfriend or Anna Kournikova or the millions of fans that like his music? Yeah he sucks.

Here I will be the guy version of you. I don't date models because I don't like women that are in shape and good looking, they are too high maintenance and disgusting. I love fat chicks because I like women that are more down to earth, with meat on their bones, you know real women that know how to treat a man.

Well said.

Notcool, never forget the most important thing about yourself. You don't have to be average on the "inside". This forum just demonstrates how "average" society is in general. Always attacking each other when they don't agree on the same perspective. We all don't see the world the same. We all don't view women the same. Most of this is based on observation, your childhood experiences, limiting beliefs, and perspectives. Obviously, your limiting beliefs will change as you experience more things in life.

Most of the younger guys here are unfortunately living in a time where there is no more privacy. Everyone knows everyone's "business" on Facebook, instagram and twitter. I have no accounts on any of these narcissistic media site as I tend to be more private. In this era of narcism men want to be alpha and women want to be models. Its all about looks. The biggest joke to me is the "selfie".

Many on here are always bashing Fred. However, he is the smart one as he is reading constantly about ways to improve his "inner self". I started late in life but now I see the world in a new perspective after reading so many books on psychology, fitness, nutrition, finance, how the brain is wired, how humans are wired, and I see why the world is exactly the way it is. It all makes sense. Not many people have the desire to "evolve" in this world. Look at the facts. Divorce rate is the highest its ever been. Depression and anxiety is rising at astronomical rates. People despise people based on how much hair they have. Nobody wants to look "underneath the hood" anymore.

After reading your posts Notcool, I see a guy who is beyond average inside but is letting his hair dictate who defines him. I have been there so I do know what it is like. My advice to you is to spend more time reading or listening to audiobooks that will enrich your life and help you evolve emotionally so you will start to see you are no longer average. Right now I am listening to Tony Robbin's new book and it is mind blowing. He is an amazing person and I realize now he may be one of the most influential person in my life. I don't think you can learn that much on here.:) And Tony only became the way he became after reading about everything in life too. I only wish I had that knowledge when I was Fred's age. And I really admire Fred for what he has accomplished. He finally realizes the "truth" about women. I have them all figured out and I realize now why so many women fall for the wrong type of guy. And why so many men fall for the wrong type of women. And why some men are attracted to other men and why some females are attracted to other females. Its amazing when things make sense in life. The human brain is very complex but when you understand exactly how it works you will understand what I am talking about.

Take home message: Perspective and limiting beliefs define you. You have to change both of them to become beyond average. Enrique may be bald or wearing a system, but he found a way to become beyond average.

I would like to start by saying I have been reading your posts House since 2007 and have always found your words to be inspirational and I respect your opinion. I would like to address this particular post of yours. Whilst I agree with you one can take solace in learning and education for certain people the remedy you are proposing is insufficient. For example I love to learn and educate myself but I also believe that our 'id' is just as powerful as our 'superego.' Fundamentally regardless of how much soul searching one does I believe we are wired like animals to desire the best things - I do not mean materialistic things, what I am talking about is more akin to survival of the fittest. I could never be a Buddhist monk sitting in a temple all day. I strive to better myself every day (and this includes looks - I know you mention you had BDD). I cannot change the way I am otherwise I would be kidding myself. I do suffer from depression but Freud argued that when a man gets depressed he is finally seeing the world for what it is. Maybe this explains why so many great and intelligent people have killed themselves - Hemingway, Hannibal etc.
I suppose what I am getting at is we are different. I have no interest in money but I am interested in looking physically more attractive. I do not consider myself superficial. It is something I cannot change. Lastly, as someone quite knowledgeable about the human brain I can tell you we will never know exactly how it works. We still know so little about this fascinating organ.
What is the name of the Tony Robbin's book please? I would like to read it.
