Evaluation of various internet pharmacies

I was asked to come up on another thread some kind of breakdown of various suppliers of hairloss products. This was in response to an individual who asserted, more or less as received wisdom that inhousepharmacy was the best for pricing.

I think it might be an idea for forum members to contribute their own input and maybe make this thread a kind of reference thread which evaluates objectively a number of well known pharmacies on a variety of criteria. I have attempted to remove subjective criteria from this to give as unbiased a view as possible.

If people think I have made any mistakes please correct me.

1. Elitenet Pharmacy

Price - Easily the best for Proscar, Propecia and Avodart. Average pricing on finpecia, fincar and dutas.

Range - Limited. Only stocks finasteride and dutasteride.

Shipping - Ship to any country from western europe. No problems with customs seizures even with Canada, Portugal etc. Generally pretty quick on shipping times especially to European countries.

Reputation - Good but not established as long as some. No reports of problems.

2. Evopharmacy

Price - Field leaders on indian generics. Good price on Proscar but more expensive than Elite. Don't carry Avodart.

Range - Limited to finasteride and dutasteride.

Shipping - Will ship worldwide. No problems reported. Generally fast shipping times as they are UK based.

Reputation - No reports of problems and their customer service seems highly regarded.

3. Inhousepharmacy

Price - Neither the best or the worst. Average on generics and brand name.

Range - Unsurpassed product range including multiple brands of finasteride, dutasteride, minoxidil, nizoral etc.

Shipping - Can be slow but they do ship from asia. Quite a high seizure rate mean they won't ship to many countries such as Canada.

Reputation - Very good established firm.

4. Merlonipharma

Price - Good but only supply brand names and prescription required.

Shipping - Like elite and evo they ship fom europe so quite fast and no known problems.

Reputation - The best given they require a prescription.

5. UnitedPharmacies

Price - Offer some nice discounts on finpecia but fincar overpriced. Average for the field and brand name Proscar and Avodart expensive.

Shipping - Like inhouse they suffer from shiiping from asia. High seizure rate compared to the european pharmacies and relatively slow shipping a la inhouse. In fairness, this is beyond both united and inhouses' control. Won't ship some places because of high seizure rate.

Reputation - Some concerns expressed in the past but generally okay.

Please contribute info for other firms please so that we can all as forum members offer this as a service to one another.

You must mean me I presume, lol.

I am of course talking about only the items that I personally order for myself. My main thing is which pharmacy is cheapest on Fincar, so I did a new search using the five pharmacies on your list and here's what I found for 30 tablets of Fincar, from cheapest to most expensive.

(1) evopharmacy (They recently lowered prices)

fincar (30 tablets) 7.50 x 3 = 22.50 + 6.00 Shipping = $ 28.50

(2) inhousepharmacy

fincar (30 tablets) 32.50 + 0 Shipping = $ 32.50

(3) unitedpharmacies

fincar (30 tablets) 11.00 x 3 = 33.00 + 7.50 Shipping = $ 40.50

(4) elitenetpharmac (this pharmacy is banned on this site ?) If I type the whole word, only ******* shows up.

fincar (30 tablets) = 10.50 x 3 = 31.50 + 12.00 S = $ 43.50

The last one, Merlonipharma, I've never heard of before, and it didn't even work on my computer (applet didn't load ?). Looked like a real strange site, so it's not included. Since evopharmacy recently lowered their Fincar prices, perhaps I'll give them a shot the next time that I order Fincar.

As for the shipping comparisons, and how quick orders are received, it really depends where you're located in my opinion. A European user is going to have different opinions than an American user I would presume.

This could be the first stop for all the new comers to the site asking questions on where to source their products and which online pharmacies can be trusted etc. I seem to see someone new start a new thread asking these questions every day, if this could be kept a clean and impartial review board it could be very useful indeed.

Let’s see if we can make this a really useful resource for both new comers and the seasoned pro. If we can keep the reviews impartial and informative it would be beneficial to all members.

This thread should defiantly be a “stickyâ€￾.

A big thank you to hairynewyork for supplying the actual pricing on one product. Since he asked about elitenet pharmacy they are not banned but requested not to be mentioned on the forum according to both admin and them.

Nice contribution Hairynewyork, that type of simple impartial price comparison is exactly what is needed and it saves a lot of time for other people, especially new members.

As part of my contribution to the network I have done a price comparison, as per the criteria laid down by hairynewyork, for Proscar: 28x 5mg tablets.

This list does not account for bulk purchases and discounts. Prices as per 25th November 2006.

1) Elitenet Pharmacy.com:

Proscar: 28 x 5mg = $59
Shipping = $14
Total = $73

2) EvoPharmacy.com:

Proscar: 28 x 5mg = $73
Shipping = $6
Total = $79

3) UnitedPharmacy.com:

Proscar: 30* x 5mg = $75 (*30 tablets not 28)
Shipping = $7.5
Total = $82.5

4) Inhousepharmacy.com:

Proscar: 28 x5mg = $95
Shipping = $0
Total = $95

Merlonipharma

As per hairynewyork I was unable to get a price. Perhaps someone with knowledge about this site could post the correct information.

There are obviously countless more online pharmacies out there offering this product and if you know of a reputable one, then please add to it to this thread. The more information we can get up on this thread then the more resourceful it becomes.

Hope this helps.

Merlonipharma are a job for Merlin the magician in trying to decipher how they work:)

Another good site is International Antiaging Systems

They have been around the scene for a long time and I am surprised they haven't been mentioned before. Has anyone ordered from them? Their Proscar is available for just $39.99...but that is for 15 tabs only. Still while Elitenet pharmacy beat their price comfortably, that is comparable to Evo pharmacy and United pharmacies.

Avodart is second only to elitenet pharmacy for price at $79.99. That compares very favourably with prices for Avodart charged by inhouse and united pharmacies.

Given they are arguably the best know pharmacy out there (at least on the bodybuilding forums i frequent) they may be worth a look.

Good work people, this is exactly what a newbie like me needs, the advice is good and it helps to build up a knowledge base. We could do with a few more replies from some senior pros though, and I hope to see them soon.

Just bought some Fincar from http://www.evopharmacy.com and either they have got their prices wrong or they are just getting rid of it at cost, either way I’ve managed to stock up before it goes up again Anyone seen it anywhere else cheaper? There must be an over supply of it.

I ordered lithium from unitedpharmacies. The first order was "lost in the mail." I told them and they said they'd send a replacement. It has been one or maybe two weeks, and still no package.

I bought 12 fincar from them this past weekend, hopefully it'll arrive in 1-2 weeks like I read for others on the east coast (US). This thread should be stickied! I had no idea where to go since the site I used before was gone www. 111 drug store . com - weird it's.. no longer up... domain was sold or something.

my lithium arrived. they are definitely trust worthy. it has been under two weeks since I ordered it the second time.

And the customs people had their way with the box and taped it back up.
