I know this is probably just male pattern baldness accelerating but just want to make sure.

I was in a major car crash in january where i was in hospital for month and a half, i had a blood transfusion and had fluid on my brain along with various other injuries. Before my crash i was on finasteride, but my hair was still quite thick all over. I was also using Tricomin, finasteride and nizoral but i had a slight itch.

After i came out of hospital i jumped back on the finasteride, nizoral and tricomin wagon again. I started experiencing a really painful scalp and the itch was bad it was there all the time.
I noticed that i could feel on my head, sore pimples. I discounted the nizoral and t-gel thinking that this was the problem but no luck.

I tried Tricomin thearpy spray, Jasons thin to thick, Topical steriods, changing shampoos, nothing cured the itch/pain!!

My hair has went sh*t under light you can see my scalp and ive lost heaps of weight on my crown/vertex. I thought it was a shed at first but this problem has really been happening for about 3 months. I have been back on finasteride for 4-5 months

Any ideas, need some encouragement?

Thanks

Hang in there, i think its just a reaction after your crash and stay in the hospital. Continue with the nizoral and t-gel and things should hopefully improve. Dont think about it too much, just try get rif of the itch... goodluck

Could be you're shedding caused by stopping finasteride while in hospital and starting again. The itch could be a temporary reaction to this. Give it a while to see if your scalp settles down and in the meantime just use nizoral once or twice a week, I actually think nizoral should help with the itch.
