I have a fast pulse constantly and didn't sleep j last night and can't eat with stress and am vomiting acid with stress I don't know what to do I made GP appoitntmt it's not for 6 weeks though I'm being FORCED TO GO BALD BY THS THIRD WORLD NATIONAL DEATH SYSTEM I JUST WANT TO ****ING KILL MYSELF

I don't understand why it's so hard to get a blood test there, in my country with the annual check up the GP always requests a blood test, it's common sense. Try to claim fatigue with the GP and or other symptoms that would only be able to get diagnosed with a blood test.

I've already said I can't get a blood test as GP refuses to let me have one I did try and make up stuff when j saw him agaun Monday he called me manipulative and told me to "man up" and go bald a d I contemplated suicidd when I walk home all those fast cars to jump in front of quick death hopefully

Foreigners don't get it you don't shop around on the NHS you are not a customer you take what you are given and there's no choice of doctor it's all authoritarian, do as you are told etc

That is terrible, I always assumed my healthcare system was similar to the NHS but, thankfully, it's not. It' probably somewhere inbetween socialized medicine and capitalised. It seems the NHS control EVERY facet of medical care in the UK and you can't even pay for private blood tests. I feel for you, Kirby.

And you have to wait six weeks!!? I usually get an appointment with my GP within the day. F**king hell I had no idea just how restrictive the NHS was. The fact is your GP is a prick, you need to do something, find a doctor who will listen! Seriously. Be careful.

you can. Very easily. For some reason Kirby has dismissed that route and seems intent to put obstacles up where none exist.

it isn't. I asked my GP for a test and he did it straight away.

I was horrified as the NHS works on a 'take what you are given, do as you are told' basis, so I can't 'shop around' for doctors/GPs etc like I could do in more civilised countries... If the GP said that and I could walk out and find another, more sympathetic doctor, I wouldn't be bothered by it, in fact I'd never have made forum threads as I wouldn't have been distressed. Using the NHS is like being in a huge prison.

I'm having to wait another 5 weeks (6 weeks after making the appointment) to see the GP again, feel incredibly ill about thinking about it.

Since you're so adamant that you need it, then simply find a private clinic. A simple blood test once a year is not going to bankrupt you. They'll tell you the results (ie that your liver is fine) and then you can have peace of mind. Do you think a private blood test won't be as 'good' as an NHS blood test or something?

Have you even contacted any private clinics near you to see what they charge for an LFT?

yes you can, you've already admitted that you've changed NHS GPs FOUR times (!) in the past since you weren't satisfied with them. Either the doctors in your area are all exceptionally poor, or you have some personal problems with GPs in general.

I suggested you look into walk in clinics weeks ago, but you instantly dismissed the idea out of hand. Have you even called your local walk in clinic to ask them?

I think it's getting a bit strange to refer to finasteride as a 'new' drug.

It was first approved by the FDA to treat BPH in 1992; over twenty years ago.
Few people would think to refer to Prozac as a 'new' antidepressant, yet it was
approved by the FDA in 1988.

Pharmacovigilance should never stop, and label revisions are made all the time,
as the link illustrates; but finasteride a 'new' drug? I don't think so.
