Hi guys, have not posted since I first came here. I've been on my regimen for a little over 3 weeks at this point, and yet I haven't noticed a single difference. Zero change in libido, really oily skin, no breast sensitivity, and definitely no stopping of hair loss.

My hair is shedding at a seemingly even faster rate. I just ruffled my hair for about 60 seconds and near covered my entire desk with hair. In fact I can pull out 5 hairs just by pinching my head. I'm wondering if I haven't waited long enough yet or I should up my dose to 25mg of cypro already. I've already increased my estradiol to 4mg.

I just find it strange that not one of these medications - from minoxidil to dutasteride, have even remotely slowed my hair loss. Seems my situation is worse than I thought.
At first it get worse and then starts to improve. You will see your first result by the 7-9 month mark. Believe me, I was crying on this forum that spironolactone 400 mg (which is no one should do) isn't working for me. But the last month I noticed that my hair has improved significantly. Sadly I had to stop spironolactone because of sexual side effects. Keep patience.

I shave my head. Worse because I dropped all medicine (minoxidil, duta, bica, vitamins, dermapen etc).

I have diffuse thinning. 1st pic - 2015 (20 y.o)
2, 3 - now
You are heading to the classic horseshoe male pattern baldness pattern, scary sh*t, but why giving now, you still have hope, because estrogen is magic

Hey all, my endocrinologist has put me on 8mg of estradiol, but iam thinking of taking 6 mg internally, and then grind or melt the other 2mg pill into a liquid and use it topical on my hair, will it work? I have read that estrogen pills are super dissolvable in liquid form, can my head absorp that if I melt it down? Any insights?

Oral is the most efficient. In your particular case, you have nothing to lose. I would say take 8 mg orally.

My dermatologist prescribed me finestride, although iam surgically castrated, I dnt see the point, do u think finestride will do anything to me, I mean it is a weak dht blocker idk, iam focusing on shooting my estrogen and progesterone up since they are the deal when it comes to baldness, the propecia sits on my desk should I start using that useless pill?

You should use a higher dose of CPA initially, such as 50mg/day... Using such an insignificant dose initially is kind of questionable.

Finasteride won't do anything for you; you should just stick to using estradiol. When I get an orchiectomy, I plan to cut out medications completely.

i feel relaxed whenever you guys are discussing which anti-androgen to take, because i dnt have to worry about it anymore, surgical castraion is super potent it brought my testosterone to near zero that is 97% lower than average men but the tricky part is dht because i never tested my dht level so adding duta of fina might be an option am still hesitant and scared to add a new drug, i hate drug and pills except for estrofem which makes me feel amazing!

I heard castrated men have similar levels of DHT to those who take finasteride. So only duta would help you more.
Your hair loss will stop. You need to grow it, go for estrogen + duta (just for precaution)

i will have to disagree, castrated men have almost zero testosterone (97% less) but 70% less dht!?? it doesnt make sense to me since dht is coming from the T conversion and we dnt have testosterone to be converted in the first place, but i have seen how female dht range is 70% lower than men, it makes sense now since the percentage of reduction is not really accurate in measuring the reduction and 70% lower dht is still very low as in value, in fact it is the female range,so technically speaking, taking finastride will lower the dht level to female range but will leave the T untouched or even higher than before, so the excess T will convert to free T and bind to damage the hair thats why finastride is weak because T IS THE ENEMY

I feel what you are talking about. Although my hair loss is not noticeable, it is severe for my age. Every morning I always log in here and check threads. But the last couple days, I am trying to forget about it. I feel like my body is now addicted to the feeling of depression caused by thinking about hair loss. It is hard to stay away, as I am writing this reply right now :p
cpa or spironolactone + estradiol

Castrated men have testosterone levels below 50 ng/dL, which means they still will have significantly less DHT. Along with that, his levels of testosterone aren't significant enough to cause hair loss. He would be fine from just taking estrogen, in all honesty.

before my orchectomy/castration my total T was 855ng/dl (male range 300-1000) after the surgery my total T is 9ng/dl !!! thats is chronically low even for a female, my sister has more testosterone than me she in the 30-50 range this how castration is soo powerful, adrenal cant do much alone

I know it doesnt make any sense. Through my extensive reading of threads on this site, a lot of people take it as a fact. I havent made any research about it, but here most admit that finasteride reduces DHT to castration levels, while duta lowers it even further. (all people saying something doesnt make it true, do your own research)

I prefer bica + duta instead of cpa/spironolactone + estradiol, as I want to preserve my sex life :p

The adrenal glands don't produce enough testosterone to lead to baldness... I hate it when people speak upon the adrenal glands producing testosterone as if that's actually going to cause issues in terms of hair loss and acne.

It doesn't. It's because my body is attempting to produce more T (an increase of LH can just signal that bicalutamide is working). What matters more is your actual testosterone levels (mine was 136 ng/dL when I had my blood test).
136ng/dl is very high to see results, you should aim for a value that is lower than 20ng/dl, castration range is below 20ng/dl, female range is 20-40ng/dl, if bica is not enough to lower T consider adding some CPA it help but please monitor your lab values they help in indicating what gonna work
