I agree. Its a big shame that Ikarus is leaving, but I can understand why the mass disliking of his posts was upsetting to him. I personally think that the "dislike" button should be removed from this site and there should only be a "like" button that you can click on.

It’s not even just that, it’s the amount of emails I am getting notifying me of the dislikes lmao...

@bridgeburn my man and to any one else experiencing good gains:

Due to the voluminosity of this thread, please excuse my impatience.

Have you fully regrown hairs on temples? I am talking about temples only nothing else.

I have recently read multiple studies stating how estradiol beta is site and species dependent. Specifically, this hormone targets the frontal temporal regions.

And because of this unknown mechanism, it may be the very same reason why DHT blockers alone can't regrow hair on aged temples. I don't know what it is, but it's apparent that regrowing hair on the crown is much easier than any place on the scalp if you're solely using propecia.

What are your thoughts?

Very curious to know where the legend is coming from?

Any one else, please feel free to chime in as well! :)
For me, it's the crown which is challenging to regrow.

Which is why I have a preference for retinols, due to its slower release. When using it, I don't experience the typical thought-of effects of using a retinol (e.g. peeling, dryness, redness). I recall watching a video with Paula Begoun (the founder of Paula's Choice) where she was explaining that such a topical treatment is meant to train your skin to behave. It's meant to train your skin (umbrella term) to act similar to when you were a kid, hence some of the effects being a reversal of ageing and/or the lessening of acne. It's not meant to lead to irritation (e.g. peeling, dryness, redness), since our skin doesn't have such issues as a kid. Although tretinoin leads to faster results, it's not tolerable for most people starting off at a strength of 0.01%. In my opinion, those who want to use tretinoin should start with 0.025% two to three times a week, and then build up to using it daily. And then, after there is a great tolerance for that dose, increase it to 0.05%, and then 0.1%.

0.1% is way too harsh to start off with, especially considering it's gel too which tends to be more irritating, 0.05% is good enough. Oh and like i said in another post don't use it under your eyes. Under my eyes was completely wrinkle free until i started using retin-a and developed quite bad wrinkles from it. Rest of my skin is good though.

I have the same issue; it has thinned the skin out more than it already was. Around the eye area, the skin is more delicate, in which using such topicals can lead to further thinning, and then the skin becoming more prone to creating creases.

Yeah it sucks big time, they are really noticeable, i have been needling under my eyes for ages and still no results, don't know if they are permanent or not. I used to have bad forehead lines years and years ago, within 6 months of needling they were completely gone, my eyes don't seem to be responding though.

I'm not using it everyday, just 3 times a week. I want to make sure I use the best, most effective and strongest stuff

Strongest doesn't always mean the best, i can bet you $100 that will you will experience, burning, dry skin, flaking etc using 0.1% gel three times a week if you start off with it.

tretinoin causes initial thinning due to increased skin turnover frequency, underlying wrinkles might get more noticeable but its supposed to thicken that thin skin more in the long term.

No, i used it for quite a good few months, definitely caused wrinkles to form and they haven't went away yet.
