No, Estrogel is very different. It works by smearing 1,25 g of gel (equivalent to 0,75 mg of E) into fatty tissue like the thighs, the E gets absorbed rapidly into the skin and "gets imprisoned" by the fat tissues. Estrogel gives more consistant results as opposed to pills. 1 pump of Estrogel gives levels of about 40-60 pg/ml, and they remain quite steady throughout the day. I would imagine 2 pumps would give close to 100pg/ml. 2mg E pills sublingually will give a huge boost of ~400 pg/ml before falling very fast to ~60 pg/ml in 5 hours. Then by the end of the day, you won't have adequate E levels circulating until your next dose.




Taking 1mg pill every 12 hours is another matter though..

if this is true then it is very good. since I like estrogel more than pills. You can divide one tablet into 4 parts and take it throughout the day. and then there will be more even levels. it’s just that on this forum they say that estrogel is very weak compared to pills. who to believe ..

Estrogel is safer than pills. You can combine them if you like though. For example like at the morning do 1 pump of gel, in the afternoon take 1mg and next to bed time take another 1mg.

I like the effect when I smear estrogel on the entire scalp where there is hair. I do this for the night. and in the morning I smear it all over my face. I see no reason to smear him on his hips. but that's how anyone likes it.

my problem is only one thing. my hair grows very fast, all the follicles produce hair, but they cannot even become long because they fall out very quickly. I have 100 hairs a day. so I try different modes. if at least 3 days my hair didn’t fall out, it seems to me that in these 3 days they could become very thick as they grow very quickly. after all, they are not getting smaller either. from my HRT hair grows very well but they do not hold. sometimes not a single hair falls. I’ve been trying to understand what’s happening for a long time ..

recently, I combined both gels and tabl in one dose, estrofem max blood concentration after 6 hours, estrogel 3-4 hours per dose. I decided to do this, take estrofem at 20:00 and smear estrogel at 23:00, so this way we get the maximum concentration of both drugs. And there and there hemihydrate!

lt's a good tactic, but you should know that when you get the big boost of Estradiol pills (hemihydrate), your ERs don't use the 800-900 pg/ml in the first few hours. If you constatnly have a very big amount of Estradiol in your body, you could saturate the ERs and dowregulate them, i think @keepcoolmybabies witnessed a similar outcome when being on large E injections constantly (large steady E levels) saturated their ERs.

I wouldn't recomend smearing Estrogel on scalp and face. It wasn't meant for those places. I remember reading on reddit about 2 Transwomen who were smearing Estrogel on face hoping to get rid of wrinkles and resistant acne, only to have horrible eye bags and dull skin due to Estogel containing alchohol and it being a hormone.





If you were smearing Estrogel on scalp, i think you wouldn't be getting the full dose, because some of the gel will get stuck on hair.

Don't worry, it's very normal to lose 100-150 hairs a day, since a healthy scalp loses that much anyway. And about your hair not getting longer, it could be that your genes don't allow for a very long Anagen phase (growing phase). After all, some are lucky to have hair grow past a year, and some can grow hair up to 6 years, it's all due to the Anagen phase.




One more important thing, ER alpha induces premature Catagen phase (hair stops growing phase), while ER beta silences the ER alpha, and keeps the hairs in the Anagen phase longer. If your E is latching itself to more ER alpha than ER beta, your hair might take some premature damage and ER alpha is known to be a co-factor in breast cancer.

Yes, I know that, thanks. I just sometimes manage to achieve that only 5 hairs fall out per day. then they become thick in a few days. 100 hairs are those that I counted. but everything is not possible to see. I think I just need to find the right dose.

I have had massive shedding on Minoxidl and am yet to see that hair grow back again. Im 3.5 months in and have not stopped yet.

If you’re going on E, don’t expect to maintain your masculinity. And, you can’t wean off them and maintain on 5AR inhibitors.
