I continue to request pic posting by the single-shot, more or less, Bica and spironolactone and CPA guys. Virtually everyone on this thread who posts pics related to improvement (not pics asking, what should I do?) is using upwards of 2 mg estradiol swallowed. If an AA only works, then let's try to describe why and how it works without estrogen and to what extent that it works. I think AA's can perhaps improve hair in a cosmetically significant way for XY's but not perfectly restore or close to it, as per @bridgeburn.

Bicalutamide can encourage regrowth because it triples your E levels to the low female ranges. Hope this clarifies something. Thus, people get (side) effects; like gynecomastia, ED, softer skin and other things. + some hair regrowth/thickening lmfao

Yes, so why not use estrogen instead, as it is safer with fewer sides. I don't get the point of avoiding E2 to use AA meds that have a short history of human use and primarily for cancer patients who can't worry that much about the liver as they are dying.

Most guys just have a thing about using estradiol so they figure, hmm, Bica is used on male cancer patients so that makes it all right. I am puzzled somewhat by the fact that estrogen appears to be lightly used for prostate cancer treatment but it might be the same bias. MPA and CPA are used on male sex offenders when estrogen would work also if prescribed in high enough quantities.

Even a small amount of estrogen or AA's in this scenario are likely to send signals to the pituitary gland to "turn on" breast growth, so except for Serms, I don't get why people prefer to use an exogenous med to an endogenous one.

Because you wont get severe feminization with bica as of with high doses E2. Bica stops androgen signaling. To stop androgen signaling with E2, you need to use high doses to stop T totally and blast your body with E2, more than girls normal med- range lol

and I dont want that. I would rather be bald than half a women, my personal opinion tho.

Bica is my limit.

Yeah but you must be envisioning a new med, cause taking bica for 60 years say, is far less healthy than taking estrogen. I don't understand the androgen signalling part as many of you have these ideas completely absent on the MtF boards as folks either use Serms, which is maybe one percent or they use an AA with upwards of 2 mg. Even small amounts of estrogen can be used with an AA safely while you aren't going to have a leg to stand on after your bones de-mineralize into the void.

I mean, MtF's tend to be highly risk averse since we can take these meds from 15 to 95 years of age. You need to look and see if we are simply over-cautious but people after orchiectomy need a dominant sex hormone. What you are doing or planning to do amounts to chemical castration unless you keep your T levels at least middling but when I did that, hair growth was less than substantial.

Anyone remember if @bridegeburn used any experimental meds like CB or RU? I don't remember it and they certainly were not his focus if he did dabble but I don't remember him mentioning this in any of his three protocols.

@bridgeburn had encyclopedia knowledge of this field and he was using copious E2 plus large amounts of CPA, spironolactone and bica, alternating them without any seeming difference but he never tried not using estradiol so if someone wants to use protocols that are guaranteed to work for someone, look towards him and Gergely and Junely and a couple of others who post pics.
