Here we go with the first person who regrets this path due to shedding, a common theme that has been a focus of mine along with inflammation. This person, Korean, I think had a moderately aggressive regime:

Choi Han Kyul said:

2mg estradiol valerate ed
0.5 mg duta ed
1.5 mg oestrogel ed

Msm, biotin, multi vit crap as well.

Considering adding 75 mg spironolactone oral.

Jesse Navarro said:

Is it possible a shedding caused by the treatmente itself? Caused by a strong antiandrogen and estradiol and that the hair Will come back thicker?
God knows.

I am Zhea. She's young. With beard removal, I took at least ten years off so this can actually work better for older XY's. Bridge mentions less the tissue re-matrixing from head to foot which is startling and amazing.

Here's her protocal that allegedly worked great for her and she has pics at page 40. My goal is to pick out the successful folks and their protocols and the shedding and no results folks and their protocols. Above 4mg estradiol swallowed seems to work well for virtually everyone who doesn't stop because of a shed:

Finasteride 5 mg ED (only cause this is how the pharmacy gives them to me and I'm too lazy to cut them up lol)
spironolactone 75 mg every 12 hours (getting orchi in 1 month)
Estradiol 2.5 mg every 12 hours
Progesterone 100mg, 12 days on, 18 days off.
Biotin 10,000 mcg.

@bridgeburn this entire thread is amazing. It's been several months since I logged in but I had to get back on here to applaud the discourse in this thread. I absolutely adore your dissection of masculinity vs femininity. It's wonderful to hear about these nuances of gender and hormones that 99% of the world will never understand. It's especially interesting to hear it from a different perspective other than a transperson. Testosterone truly is the inferior hormone. I'm glad it exists though because I am super attracted to masculine guys that are pumping full of T and if they didn't exist... who would be there to carry me around?

That being said, I'm a transwoman and I had a near full recovery from a Norwood~3.5. It's fascinating seeing you talk about the other mental effects of estrogen. It's really such a beautiful and calm hormone compared to testosterone. I was gender non conforming all of my life so I'm a bit biased, but testosterone was absolutely disgusting. I honestly can not think of a single benefit testosterone gave me other than hyper competition.

Since being on HRT, I have easily lost 6 years of "age" on my appearance. Everybody always guesses 4-7 years younger than what I really am. My hairline has surged back to life and is starting to round off. My skin is way healthier (practicing skin care now too). It's so comfy. Your input on the whole gender, sexuality, and masc/fem philosophy is valuable. It's fascinating to hear a "cis male" speak with such hatred for testosterone.

HillTopLumber said:

Im not being sarcastic, I totally agree with bridge that testosterone is like poison and having literally none of it is a dream.

Testosterone is still a horrible hormone even if youre lucky enough not to be balding. It gives you acne and ugly body hair, it makes people tempermental and violent, it makes you horny all the time, gives horrible body odor etc. Estrogen is literally a million times better, it does the opposite of all the cons that testosterone arises. If men got to experience Estrogen I doubt anyone would want to go back to being full of testosterone.
This thread is soooo fun to read.

I also agree that if more males experienced what life is like on estrogen instead of testosterone they probably wouldn't switch back (don't let them know this though because the world needs beefy hunks).

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy the thread :) It really is a crazy journey. When I started I had no idea I would get so deep into gender stuff or how radically affected I'd become.

It doesn't make every guy like that. Even when I was full of testosterone, I wasnt super masculine. least not in the good way, I have a pretty small bone structure, am an ectomorph and my metabolism was extremely high before Hrt. I could not gain much weight at all even when i tried eating a ton. I was active too yet was hard to gain much muscle even when i did gain some strength.
Testosterone just wasn't meant for people like me. It works for some particular guys with the right combination of every other naturally masculine traits.

It is kinda hard to believe that everyone doesn't want to be filled with estrogen Lol, but still I'm not so sure this is true cause other guys on this forumn have used estrogen, and many stop eventually or try to maintain without it later. I think it's particularly gyno above everything that makes them stop and it would probably freak most guys out if they had the level of gyno that I do. Most are taking lower doses than trans level doses though, so possible they aren't getting the full experience, but still I was on low doses too at first but kept craving more.

Been on finasteride for 25 months, HRT for 23 months, progesterone for 5 months. I saw the biggest gains when I introduced Progesterone probably.
I'm thinking about trying progesterone too. It should give me more neurosteriods which i probably need since im on dutasteride. But i have some concern like Hilltop does, It also can potentially turn into many things depending on what enzymes it reaches so im a bit leary... o_O

Sigh.... It's Goddess-like hair that you have Bridge. He admits that he is on a strong MtF regime:

You're regimen is suprisling close to what a trans woman would take to transition, you don't notice your skin has feminized in anyway at all?
My regimen at the moment is what a transwoman would take. or even more than some actually. I want to murder all my androgens and grow Godlike hair. Yes, my skin is softer and healthier. People just think Im a young guy though.

Wolfpac decides to put some skin in the game but note nobody thinks just to copy bridge, not even the MtF's apparently who pipe in frequently claiming HRT made them permanently bald:

bridgeburn said:

some fat distribution. with my clothes off I look more hourglassy. my face looked more thin/frail before. better skin now.
chest hair is thinning. a few patches formed on the upper part of beard.
I still like girls but sexually it made me less superficial, ex. lost interest in p*rn. I became more sappy and emotional.
mood wise my default state is more mellow. I still have a great sex drive, although it is different, i have control over it and can have sex because I want to not because I need to. I haven't lost any penis functionality.

Bridgeburn I really respect you for sharing your experience with us and for being brave enough to show your face. I think you look great and you have inspired me to attempt a less hardcore version of your method for myself. I'm going to try 50mg of spironolactone and 1mg topical estradiol per day for 3 to 6 months. I might be willing to double the doses if I dont get the desired results. Thanks for hanging around to keep us updated.

Mr. Navarro drops out:

I admire your courage or crazyness, bridgeburn, but i couldnt take it. I was growing boobs and they were becoming huge, hard to hide. When i began, i thought i could handle this but i couldnt. I think i was feeling what transexuals feel before HRT (dysphoria). I stopped estradiol and androcur. Ill try a strong regimen but a more reasonable one, "only" spironolactone and dutasteride.

Notice that no one comes on here claiming that HRT doesn't work for hair loss anymore but there used to be people who would say ridiculous stuff. Estrogen makes all MtF's look younger and often decades younger if you look at trans timelines on reddit:

Whip and Snap:

Am I really the only one to realize the OP is trolling everyone?

He simply presents the AFTER pics as the BEFORE pics and vice versa. And by after, I mean after he went bald, whereas the pics with his supposedly miraculous hormone therapy results date back to when he began balding or was not even balding yet.

I'm really not sure what he's getting out of this, but you gotta be blind not to notice he's like a decade younger, almost a child, in those hairy pics.

EDIT: Thinking about it for a second, I probably know what he is getting out of it. A laugh. Lots of it. Well earned dude. You fooled them all.

Bwahahhahahahaaha, this is hilarious. I'm not even offended. I doubt anyone else believes you lol. yes, I look younger but its because of my treatments.

here's the date time stamp on my phone when I took this picture for example.
View attachment 91995 and if you think I took it 10 years ago and then downloaded on my phone. no, it also has the name of the device used to take listed in code.
View attachment 91996

google Asus_z01bda and you will see I have a Zenfone 3 laser (a japanese phone because I live in Japan)
View attachment 91997
which according to internet wasn't released until 2016. sure I guess It doesn't prove solidly I didn't take it 2 years ago, but at least it shows it wasn't many years back. I sware I use current pics and if you don't believe thats totally fine lol.

Let me tell you what I believe.

I believe that you won't take a hairy one holding a handwritten piece of paper with the current date and this thread title. That's the only thing I believe. It's quite easy to prove me wrong, but something tells me we will have to make do with "if you don't believe me it's totally fine lol".

Bridge on Estrogen Rejuvenation:

nWo Wolfpac said:

Ha Ha! way to go Bridgeburn! This shows how impressive your results are that people are having a hard time beliving you.

You have definitely proven that estrogen helps to keep people looking young. I know most people think men age better than women but I dont, I think whats going on is that people dont realize that they just have much higher standards for women. as soon as a woman starts getting some wrinkles people think oh shes over the hill now but when a guy gets wrinkles its like hes entered into bad *** clint eastwood phase. Clint Eastwood is a perfect example, he was always considered very handsome and sexy even though he has looked old as sh*t since the 70's. Think of his dirty harry films. Men can have many wrinkles with grey receding hair and still be considered sexy like james bond whereas women just get a couple of wrinkles and no fucks with them any more. When I think of all my aunts and uncles the aunts all look years younger. Next time you guys go out pay attention to all the couples you see whether theyre in their 30s or 60s the women 99% of the time look years younger even though statistically most of those couple are very close in age.

yes exactly! I agree with all of this in general.

I would say maybe men age better in late age while women definitely age better up to menopause but menopause speeds the process messing them up, men have a steady gradual decline in their hormone production. But totally the attraction of women is that they look more youthful!
Youth is a huge part of the female gender and so signs of age don't look right on women. Men are acceptable more easily with wrinkles and aging because thats just a normal part of being a man. Maybe women are a bit less superficial too. Many masculine features actually make people look older!
Hairloss, oily rough skin, facial hair.

plus men don't statically live as long.

And if you really think about it, there is not much difference between becoming more feminine and becoming more youthful. Its practically a synonym.

Little kids for example are more feminine than masculine. They have nice smooth skin, full heads of hair, no facial hair, emotional, etc.

see the correalation, what does estrogen do? it makes us closer to being like a little kid! it lessened my body hair, made me more emotional, gave more head hair, practically no body odor hm come to think about it nobody told me I stunk Before puberty! cleared up acne and gave better skin, stopped my sperm production and we didn't make sperm yet when we were little kids did we?

there's definitely something to this.
we all start off as female by default in the womb even. and then change based on the level of androgen exposure.

I have tried to emphasize the binary/on-off aspect of reaching adult female estradiol levels. This dude Bridge is uncanny. Always right:

michel sapin said:

but little kid have oestradiol level below 20 pg/ml bro !
and they have awesome hair .
newborns have high estrogen. E is something which changes gene expression, like a switch. Androgens develop facial hair but old men with low T still have beards cause the genes are still on. Physical castration stops further balding but doesn't reverse hairloss or regrow long lost hair. But chemical castration or hormone therapy can in many cases.

Don't be like JesseNavarro. You cannot keep switching in different directions all of the time:

Actually i started and stopped some things, i was on spironolactone for one month, then i changed to cyproterone adding estradiol pills. I stayed on that for three months, i had a shedding, i might have recovered, but i stopped all. Now i will try to restart low dose. I am also on dutasteride for seven months, and forgot to mention that on the middle of the treatment i used minoxidil for almost two months, then stopped also.
