When you talked about Aromatase, I thought you meant E2 receptors which are the main point in hair growth, oops
I dont even count estradiol as an hair regrowth tbh. Estradiol helps prolonging the anagen phase but idk how much it does for already miniaturized hairs tbh. Having low T and ideally no dht is just what matter most we know that. Ofc we need estradiol to prevent bone issues and metabolic dissorders from no hormones

Maybe they have more mutations that makes the inmune to hair loss. I still think young balding guys can react to whatever DHT they have in their body either 5ar1 and 5ar2, even T is androgenic so it wouldnt surprise me if it partially helps the miniaturization. But again im talking about young balding guys not about a 35-40 yo balding guy.
Testosterone definitely affects hair loss. It's the second most potent androgen so why wouldn't it ?

I believe how HRT regrows hair is due to the fact of reducing both T and DHT to null levels. But then why does it work only for some, and not for others ?

WE NEED ANSWERS FFS

well it could simply be more convertion of t and dht into tissues in some people. Like maybe they have high sensitivity but they enzymes are low so once you lower their endogenous androgens they dont have much of them in tissues. What if in poor responder 17βHSD and 3βHSD is upregulated and same with 5ar?

This study shows this:

''The concentration of DHT along with 5 α reductase and androgen receptors are increased in the balding scalp. The other enzymes involved in conversion of weak androgens to potent androgens are 3 β hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (3 β HSD) and 17 β hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (17 β HSD) also show increased activity in Androgenetic Alopecia. The higher the concentration of androgen and androgen receptor, more the effect on expression of genes which control follicular cycling.''

Maybe there are people whose activity is so high that it surpasses the effect of everything else.

It is so scary that all this can be upregualted and even low systemic androgens mean nothing and we have high androgen on scalp.

I think biopsy is really important, which I never did and I urgently need one

I wish we could permanently destroy the androgen receptors in the scalp. Why are they there on the first place and why the f*** does biology decided that androgen could miniaturize hairs in some people? I hate biology....

I wish my chinese powder was legit and I could experiment with 10 mg dutasteride which inhibit almost all the DHT + using bicalutamide, but unfortunately i was taking up to 4 mg of the chinesse powder dutasteride and mixed in mct oil and BHT like in the real formulation and i did a blood test and my dht didnt decrease so i assume either the powder is not legit or my formulation leads to poor bioavability which brand avodart has already a poor bioavability of ∼60%.

According to this graph 10 mg of dutasteride daily leads to 100% 5ar2 reduction and like 90% of 5ar1 and if the scalp dht with 2.5 mg is ∼79%, 10 mg should nuke almost all the dht from every part of the body, but ye it is one study done ages ago, so maybe it is not as good as it sounds irl

I came to complain, all the men who are using e2 look more feminine than me even though they are men and act like men, you guys here disgust me, with your cute faces and your smooth and perfect skin, I hate you, I hate every single one of you, I just see myself as a f*****g guy with 3000 t and 200 dht, this is f*****g sh*t and it's useless

I will try. I need to find someone that is willing to do it. I tried with a trichologist few years ago and he denied it for some unexplained reason

you might have something else besides Androgenetic Alopecia going on and only a scalp biopsy can answer it.I should do it as well since i was on dutasteride and om and didnt respond to it.Also @BRezende should do it .

i was responding with 1 mg tho. My genetic is just so messed up that i need to take high ammounts of dutasteride to lower my dht. Even with 1 mg i dont think it is enough but it was at least slowing it down.

I also have a trichoscope and i dont see signs of areata, just miniaturization

No signs of Areata as for now, just miniaturization

Well the crown is the only site where areta is maybe suspicious cause there are empty follicles with empty yellow dots like I have seen on the internet. Anyways I have so much space between hair and that is not so good

you did all the genetic tests you had to do now you only miss a scalp biopsy. Its minimal invasive and its really important you should do it asap.

Yes but no one is willing to do cuz apparently 'I dont need it' according to the doctors.

Not sure about that but sometimes it helps with scalp aches
(lol i want a trhicosvope too) is it expensive?
No, it is cheap

Crown seems more oily, but overall looks good to me, apart from missing hairs. The colours look kinda faded tho, hard to tell if thats a dot or just a missing hair. Can you maybe take a video?

I have a digital microscope at home btw, and my scalp is a mess compared to yours, full of red dots and the texture is kinda crumbly.
I'll show tomorrow when i get home.

I don't think they measure mRNA expression (aka regulations) with biopsy on scalp tho, if there's no tumor at least. AFAIK, they mostly use electrophoresis, or some type of hybridization for that. Biopsy can spot autoimmune disorder tho, which is nice.

Somehow destroying androgen receptors in scalp would not solve the problem of regrowing, only mantaining

The closest we got to this was high dose Bicalutamide. It still isn't a "cure"
