FACIAL HAIR - I need urgent Help !! Please

I am a 23 year old male with the face of a fifteen year old boy.I am unable to grow facial hair. My baby face is affecting people's trust in me,I feel that I am never really taken seriously.I find myself to be mature for my age in height,voice and appearance.

Most of my mates were able grow beards years ago!

I am wondering if there are any types of drugs that can possibly aid in my facial hair growth problem ... Please help me !

Question 1 - DOES ROGAINE EFFECT BEARD GROWTH IF I USE IT ON MY FACE?

Question 2 - Im using Propecia for my hair and im glad but does it effects my facial hair growth negatively? Does it block something that takes role in beard growth?
Note:I have thin hairs growing at the age of 23

You cant use rogaine in your face, thats stupid and dangerous.

Try msm , but that just grow the facial hairs faster not create them...

The only danger I see in using minoxidil facially is accidentally getting some in your mouth. I'm not sure if ingesting the solution is really dangerous or not, but I wouldnt reccomend finding out.

Applying minoxidil to your face would, however, certainly grow thicker, darker facial hair.

Maybe if you could just avoid applying it to your upper lip..


As for Propecia, sorry to say it but DHT does play a vital role in triggering body hair growth, so yes, using Propecia can have a negative effect.

(a lack of facial hair may imply low natural DHT levels. I suggest you be very mindfull of sexual side effects just to be on the safe side)

I totally understand where this guy is coming from (even though I am not in his predicument,. I've been growing a full goatee since I was 17)..

When a friend in my EMT class told me he was 32, 4 years my elder, I was absolutly shocked. This guy never lost his boyish looks. I thought he was maybe 20, and could have passed for 16. Learning this immediatly changed my level of respect for him, which I think he noticed and appriciated. He told me about what a curse it has been looking so young, and man, I believe it. When you reach an adult maturity you want to be respected as a full grown man, and when you aren't percieved as one and not taken seriously, I have no doubt it can be difficult.

I'm 34 and have nearly no facial hair. I couldn't grow a goatee if my life depended on it. Personally I like it. People take me seriously too.

Its not the lack of facial hair,. its the combination of no facial hair with a boyish face/physique.

I woudnt say its stupid and dangerous if you apply it carefully to the beard area. After all were only doing exactly the same thing by applying it to our scalp.

I used minoxidil on my beard for 2 months as my goatee is a bit patchy, i cant say it did anything at all and i got fed up with doing it.
However i never shed ahahaaahaaaaaa. :roll:

It worked great for the first 2 months. Damn near filled in my goatee. I was amazed at how fast it worked.

Suddenly the results stopped, but it is still amazing how much thicker my facial hair is now.

Also all I did was use my finger to spread the minoxidil run-offs onto my goatee.

It's probably a somewhat risky thing to do if your hyper-sensitive to meds. I am extremely careful when I do it and I don't think it's a good idea to try.

If DTH takes a role in creating beard , then by using minoxidil on your beard you sweep away the DTH .

Minoxidil seems to induce growth of the hair follicles to produce thicker hairs. Finasteride is the treatment that decreases DHT-levels in the blood. Perhaps DHT is responsible (in a positive way) for body-hairs. In the skin 5alpha-reductase 1 is mainly found but Finasteride inhibits mainly type 2. Thats why changes in body hairs were rarely reportet by finasteride-users but eating minoxidil can result in hirsutism.

Do you shave? wether or not you have any facial hair the more you shave it the thicker it will grow over time.
