Continue to mock that which you don't understand
Ok, this is what I was talking about.
We don´t understand.
Oh, endangered doctors, make us understand and forgive us for our offenses and ignorance!!.
Well, ok. Pardon me if I´m not that deep into the pseudo-hermaphrodites´n stuff. But how does it come now you start talking about type-II or type-I enzymes??. Sorry if this question comes to my weak, non medical mind. I´m a simple "2+2=4" kind of guy, so sorry again about it.
You made an statement:
In reality, they have no idea how massive inhibition of DHT formation will affect a person in the long run.
And I answered that yes, we have: The pseudo-hermaphrodites.
Then you replied:
You also seem to forget that pseudohermaphroditism encompasses a 5AR type II deficiency and not a 5AR type I. These people still produce DHT after puberty.
Lastly, you also seem to forget that these people develop with this deficiency. They don't have their hormones stripped away from them during the prime of their lives. Like I said, nobody knows the impact of doing such an act.
Wich is kind of an annoying answer for me, a non medical, non doctored, plain minded kind of guy.
Soooo, are you admitting that there´s evidence of long term DHT supression effects??
Are you stating that the point is which kind of enzyme is supressed in the early step of DHT supression?
Are you meaning that the DHT inhibition they suffer is not
massive inhibition of DHT??.
Also, what is
massive inhibition of DHT??. 86%?? 99,99%??
What it seems to me is that you wanted to scare the guys here, using your Doctor thing, about the unknown (and probably terrible) effects of the use of DHT inhibitors. I mentioned the pseudo-hermaphrodites and you started waving in your hand the type-I/type-II data thing as some kind of smoke courtain, fully realizing your mistake, and then proceed to praise for simpathy about how much do we need doctors and how bad are they treated.
Still, you have a point in the very argument. The one that says....
Lastly, you also seem to forget that these people develop with this deficiency. They don't have their hormones stripped away from them during the prime of their lives. Like I said, nobody knows the impact of doing such an act.
It is a very good point, with that spicy bit of fearmonging at the end. The doctor fearmonging advocating and patronizing language I truly adore.
"Nobody knows the impact of doing such an act" (a sacrilegous act against the Laws of the Mother Nature)
But let me now recall a case of
"have their hormones stripped away from them during the prime of their lives":
His name is Farinelli:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Farinelli
70+ years of successful life after they "strip away his hormones during the prime of his life".
But, OMG, farinelli is only the one of many
castrato:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castrato
which all of them were made into eunuchs (have you ever heard of this?).
They were high society kids that paid lots of money to get delayed aging, youthful hair and face, being the biggest superstars of the time (in opera), and a good voice in exchange for they testosterone and their descendence...
...with no other unknown tragical illnesses documented in medical literature... EVER.
Mmmmm.... is that enough for "having an idea of how massive inhibition of DHT affects a person in the long run"??.
