Feeling A Little Depressed 3 Days Into finasteride...

I'm 27 and I haven't dealt with depression before in my life. Tonight I felt a weird wave of depression/sadness. I'm overall pretty positive where I am in my life so I thought that was strange...

Any advice? Could that be related to finasteride? Just 3 days into taking it??

I'd say no. Give it another few weeks, you're probably overthinking it. Once it starts working and you realise you no longer have you worry about dealing with hairloss you'll feel the opposite.

The forum scaremongering gotten to you, thats all. Worries can affect enzymes and hormons (in miniscule levels) making it feel like a real problem. Let me guess, your depression is very vague and hard to analyze objectively? Thats because its imaginary, you would know the difference if you had the real thing, and pray you never will. A friend was in bed for a year due to it, the only time he went out it was to find a suitable tree to hang himself from.

I've been on propecia for about 10 days and I have had some times I notice a symptom and instantly blame the meds. It's only natural to do so really after all the horror stories online

I would say if I were you just keep taking for a few weeks and try to not think about the symptoms. If it really is due to the meds you will know in a couple weeks and can make a judgment call wether to keep taking it

Great comment, i had it also somewhere when starting duta, it was all in my head. We have to stop listening to the scaremongering of the hypogonadal no-fappers on this forum, seems like they are the majority here now! We are here to get hair, not to stop fapping, we need to distance ourself from the non-fina/duta crown and the few who really had bad sides (undoubtedly many of them imaginary, i mean, just LOOOK at all those stupid claims! Next they blame sunspots and solar storms on duta, were already that close)

How is your hair situation on duta? I'm only 2 weeks into finasteride and I will give it time but considering I am only 18 with Norwood 2 and diffuse thinning I'm afraid it may not be enough

I'm a little bit scared of duta but being bald isn't an option for me

I'm using minoxidil 15 percent.

I will never touch Finasteride again. Drug is poison. It messes with your whole system.

Also studies show 15% minoxidil is not statistically any better than 5% although the side effects such as inhibition of collagen synthesis increase causing premature ageing, thinning of the blood and headaches increase. minoxidil is much worse in efficacy and side effects for the vast majority.

Finasteride can affect your brain and entire nervous system on a systemic level. Way more dangerous than Minoxidil. Finasteride can interact with the hypothalamus and pituitary.

Hardly anybody gets sides with Rogaine except itchy scalp and maybe bags under your eyes.

Rogaine doesn't alter hormones.

The 15 percent minoxidil is very effective. It has retin A and azalaic acid (dht blocker)

Anything orally ingested is 1000x worse than topically.
