so i finally visited a hair surgeon in vancouver and got prescription for proscar 5mg! cut it in 1/4 and just popped my first pill! finally when i was consulting with dr.wong he pretty much told me that minoxidil is a waste of time, but i think im still gonna keep using it regardless! will post pics! ohya, so instead of taking it everyday he told me to take it only on mon,wed and fridays. anyone here go with that scheme and gotten good results?

Surprised that he told you minoxidil is a waste of time. Unless you're only receding at the temples then he probably has a point.

I take finasteride Mon-Wed-Fri, I was looking around on other forums and it seems to nearly as effective.

Finasteride is most certainly evenly distributed within the pill. How else could they possibly manufacture thousands and thousands of pills and also be sure that there is 5 mg in each? They couldn't if it wasn't evenly distributed.

Simple 1 mg is smaller than a grain of rice, since the pills are just the greatest protection, not the size of the ingredient finasteride finasteride tablets from is totally wrong. The generic finasteride 1 mg here depending on the brand that the pills comes in different sizes. And reduction dht of 1 mg and 5 mg is little difference:

1 mg = 65% serum / 32% scalp
5mg = 70 or 75% serum / 40% scalp


It makes no sense to use other doses as: 2mg, 2,5mg 3mg, since the difference between 1 and 5 is very little. Or you use 1mg or uses 5mg, cut pills or use any other dose is completely stupid.

so... Dutasteride 2.5mg inhibits 79% of scalp. In Brazil have GellFF, is a lotion liposomes with Finasteride and Flutamide to inhibit more dht scalp.
