Finasteride 0,25mg a day results

Hello,

Im 28y old and 1 month in with using finasteride 0,25mg a day. I want to save my hairline.. keep or get some regrowth. I had adult acne and a very dry itchy flakky scalp.. but after 3 weeks on fina my big cyst acne completly stopped (only somethimes little bumps for a day or 2) and my scalp feels healthy. My erections are sometimes weak and sometimes very good, better than before.

But my hairline is receding much much faster than before.. see pictures:

The pictures arent exactly the same so its really hard to tell if its different. If its worse its certainly not by much and I cant really tell either

.25mg is useless for someone who has noticeable change in hair within a month anyways. the people who benefit off low dose finasteride are really non aggressive hairloss sufferes, for example people in late 30's and early 40's who had a recent onset of hairloss.. try .5mg, i think you will be satisfied at that dose. If ever you have a day where you feel sides may be coming into play, just take a day off, it helps me.

thanks for your comment.. i will think about it 0,5 mg. Im losing my hairline since i was 21.. very slow.. you could see then little hairs in my hairline dying.. im 28 now and decided too slow the process. But im on finasteride 0,25 for a month a noticed the hairline decreased faster..

No side effects whatsoever so far and my DHT is slightly below the lower range, low estrogen and good mid-high testosterone. My hairloss started when I was 18 and I am now 40. I had bad sides when I was 23 with 1.25mg a day and ended up having surgery to remove gyno so I discontinued the drug. Should have taken blood test at baseline but my plan is to take .25mg for a full twelve months and test blood every three months.

.25 is a little over 60% reduction, so not all that much different from 1 MG

It doesn't matter how much DHT it reduces because you'll never figure it out.

It's about 80% as effective as 1mg in maintaining hair.

In my case 0.25mg lowered my DHT to 0.84 which is below the bottom range of 0.86 - 3.4.

Nvm, given your age and speed of hairloss it would probably work for you considering you're still able to save ur hair 20 years later

How to get finasteride

Just wondering but how does one get finasteride? I'm wanting to get started and I don't really know how to obtain finasteride.

almost 2 months.. quick update: shedding.. yes shedding :/.. got some erection sides (not as 'hard'), scalp acne.. hairline (on the right is little more receding) little bit chest acne and a little bit out concentraded, tiredness.. i think my erection isnt that good cuz im always tired. I hope this is because my body is adjusting to the meds.

I've been on .25mg since January of this year. For the first 6 and 1/2 months I went with EOD and the past 2 and 1/2 I've upped it to daily.

I've maintained well, which is all I really expect with such a low dose. Gains would be nice but probably not too realistic.

Maintenance equals success IMO. I'm happy with .25mg a day.

Low dose finasteride can and does work for most. Look at the Japanese study at .2mg a day. About the same % of guys either maintained or made gains on .2mg as 1mg. The gains on .2mg just weren't as pronounced as 1mg, which is to be expected.

whats your age and norwood level and how long have you been balding.. low dose works in some, most likely the non aggressive hairlos sufferers whos hair deteriorates in the span of 10-15 years.

U can see it on Page 1.. I think the right sight almost Norwood 2.. Left Side nw1 thinning. Never shed hair like this.. Shedding thin hair as thick hair.. When i was 20 my hairline began to change im 28 now. I had adult acne and Fina controls it atm

2 month update im shedding 3/4 weeks now.. even in the non-male pattern baldness area it lost density.. i lost so much density all over. Sides: Erection little weaker, Right breast under my nipple sometimes hurts like a bruise but i will ride it out i guess.. tiredness. Do you think i have Telogen Effluvium from finasteride? can i continue finasteride?
