Finasteride allowed in the military?

Not trying to go active duty here, just a national guard service. I've heard that during basic training nothing is allowed, and its my understanding that even guard goes through basic. Is this correct? If so then after basic you are allowed to take it as long as you have a proper prescription? What do you tell recruiters? I've heard kids not getting in because they had to use an inhaler as a child. Ridiculous :roll:

if you have a prescription just tell them it's your prostate medication, haha... unless you're young, then that doesn't really make sense.

Depends on which branch. I believe finasteride is allowed in Air Force once you are through basic,

Nothing is allowed in Bootcamp but as a regular private you can take finasteride in the barracks.
