Finasteride Alternatives (had To Quit After 18 Months)

I have Gyno on my right breast. I'm not blaming it on finasteride. because I had it before I started taking that.

Now I wear a compression shirt and it slims me down. That helps, maybe you should get one then in the future think about surgery for the Gyno.

But keep taking finasteride. theres nothing else better for hair for right now.

Now as soon as I take finasteride again, even 0.25, it flares up again quickly. I tried sticking with it on 0.5mg EOD but it was just getting worse. Its better now after 2 weeks off.

The only way I could take finasteride again if I could combine it with an AI or SERM but the jury seems out on the safety of this.

Have heard of oral minoxidil but sides look a little dangerous? Does it work for you, and why not topical minoxidil?

I looked into topical finasteride but seems to give people sides as well, and the only place that do it are the Pharmacie Parati (Im in the UK) and cant find any results of that actually working for anyone without sides...

Make sure it is the "Regenepure DR", not the "Regenepure NT". The DR one has ketoconazole in it. The other one doesn't.
Oral minoxidil is a risky treatment, which is why I only use a very low dose of 2.5mg a day. I've only been using it three weeks so it is too early to see results, but I've not noticed any side-effects. Others on here have had regrowth from it, and there have been a few studies on it which also showed that it grew hair. The reason I don't use topical minoxidil is that as far as I'm aware it is less effective than oral minoxidil, and it is also much less convenient.

I don't recommend you take Nolvadex long-term. That would be potentially dangerous.

I can’t remember if there are any studies on success with low dose minoxidil. Know of any? Low dose oral minoxidil is quite an interesting idea.

And yes topical is a hassle as I’ve been applying it over five years although I cut it down to one application as the half life of one application is 22 hours.

Hey, I'm having the same issue. I've been developing a gyne in one month on Finasteride. It's not too bad tho, my doctor said that it will go on its own if I stop Fina but I don't want to lose my hair too.
