Finasteride And 20 Years Old. Please, Advice Needed!

Hey, guys!

I'm 20 years old and i am on the big three (minoxidil, nizoral and finasteride) and it works very well. I was around norwood 2, and I'm slowly getting back to norwood 1 maybe even 0.5!. i cut my Proscar in 1/4

But something is bugging me, its the side effects of finasteride... I've taken it for 4 months now, and i am noticing weaker erections and libido. I need direct stimuli to keep erections and standing with erection is kinda hard lol. I've quit p**rn totally, and try nofap to see if that helps. I understand it's guys on the internet scaring people with their hypochondriacal stories, so i try to make my distance away from those.

I really love getting my hairline back, but i think to have a healthy sexual health is more important. So i need some advice, should i quit finasteride and just accept my receding? I will probably end up in Norwood 3 (dad, grandpa) in 2-3 years without finasteride.

Or should i continue and check if the side effects vanish? Any similar experiences? I really don't want to have erectile dysfunction haha.

can you post picture of your progression ?
according to me you should keep taking propecia if you have good result . Studies show that sexual sides decrease with time on propecia

The worst temple has gotten amazing regrowth in hair, but the other not so much, but it's kinda "evening itself out". But I'm considering just to cut my hair short and quit finasteride... I'm not sexually active, but i don't want to have ED for the rest of my life haha.

is your libido constantly low? Or does it fluctuate up and down? If you're completely not sexual active I'd reconsider my options. But you're also 4 month in so sides can get worst or better. If I were you I'd stick it out a couple more months. In the mean time I can recommend taking 1500mg l arginine in the morning and 1500mg at night while working out at least 4x a week. Also, look for a DIM supplement to keep your estro in check.

Same thing here, I started finasteride 6 Months ago, I got sometimes a decent pressure on my balls and my libido slows down. I have no errection problems at this time, but I dont get this horny as I did before.
But at least i have to say, for me keeping my hair its worth it.

You just have to decide whats important to you =)

In summarzise yes. But they're a few guys reporting, that they have problems after years of quit. There are also some "rumors" about the Post Finasteride Syndroms.

But at least i have to say, for me keeping my hair its worth it.

Im going to try 2-3 months with finasteride, and try l arginine and nofap haha. If the sides still are there, then i will quit finasteride and just accept my hairloss.

Yeah, i to fear the "post finasteride syndrome" but i think it's physiological too. Placebo is a strong effect that fuels fear in many people. People fear the side effect, go search on the internet and the mind plays tricks on them.

I agree to this. But sometimes side effects are real. But having not willing to f*** all the day (masturbate in my case, exgf went away^.^) is not just a side effect, its the only to expected effect if you slow down your DHT in this dimension.

But in my opionion if some one is shocked of this result, he's not good informed about the meds he is taking.

I suppose Finasteride inhibits 5-alpha reductase which is responsible for converting testosterone to dihydrotestosterone..

I have actually undergone Platelet rich plasma therapy. Are medicines required even after PRP?
