Finasteride and lack of desire for alcohol. At least in my case.

I am 23, work full time and go to school full time. Prior to finasteride (October 5th), I could not wait for Friday after work to pop a top. It was relaxing, and I love a good buzz. However, in the last 3 weeks, I virtually have no desire to drink. I was so accustomed to doing so, I would almost force myself to drink. I have a higher tolerance now, and virtually no desire.

With that being said, I am completely okay with it. I was just curious if anybody experienced this. I am not taking any medication, so I know that this is a direct correlation to finasteride. No real other symptoms at this point. No increased shedding or regrowth either.

Yes, I never had that kind of strong desire to drink to begin with, but I did enjoy going out to drink every now and then and the idea excited me here and there. Being on Finasteride, I have a higher tolerance for alcohol, but I rarely desire to drink, so when I do end up going out with my friends, it's kind of weird to see them drink for the sake of getting drunk meanwhile I am just enjoying my time and drinking to pass time, without getting close to as drunk as before from the same amounts.

Completely ok with it.
