Finasteride And Stomach Issues! Need Help

So I have a prescription for Proscar and cut it up into 4ths. Every time i take it I get stomach pains and constantly burp. This is 100% the cause. Should I wrap the pill in food or what is going on ?

Try putting it in some veggie capsules and take it with food
