finasteride causing no side effects

There are so many posts on these boards about finasteride being some sex stunting, chemical castration; ruining people's sex lives and what not. And this scared the sh*t out of me. Though i tried as hard as i could to really see it in a clear manner, based on what the experienced users were saying about it, the nay sayers would always put some kind of anxiety and doubt in me. Anyway, i decided to just try it out, and see how it would effect me. If it altered my sex drive in any way i would immediately come off of it.
It has been about a month and a half sinse i started taking finasteride, and there hasn't been a single lasting side effect. The first few days i took it i was getting real drowsy easily, but that is very common with any kind of new drug that is being taken. But im very happy and confident with my new oral DHT inhibitor, and am glad that it hasnt fucked up my labido in anyway as of yet. Ill keep riding it out though. Hair isnt so important to me that i would put it before the risk of my well being and health. We'll just have to see, but it is a good thing as of now.

Nearly 3 weeks, no morning erections for sure, decreased libido for sure, though still capable of erections, reasonable sure not as fast, hardness may be slightly down as well but not entirely sure about the last one. Will ride it out and see if it lessens, have no girlfriend anyway.

I noticed a libido loss in the first week too. Maybe it was imagination but I tend to doubt it. Now I'm into 3rd or 4th week and it's still the same. My libido is still there, and I can still easily get arosed watching a p**rn or messing with a woman. But it has definitely diminished. Doesn't bother me a bit; give my bigger head more control!

ok seriously u did the exactly right thing to do...even the dermatologist told me if u have any sides u stop and they go away....how friggin simple is that???? try it ....if the sides are too much stop...i dont understand y there is still discussion about this

and as for an answer to the thread....been on propecia for 9 months in two weeks (still losing hair but def less then i used to hopefully ill start losing even less sometime soon) i couldnt get it up for the first month and a half and now it completely gone... my balls didnt explode...i didnt grow a vagina... and unless i see a post that reminds that propecia causes sides i forget that it ever happened....

stop being paranoid over something that hasn't happened yet... and is temporary....and bite the bullet.....and swallow the pill

I'm a 20 year old male and I've been taking a 1mg dosage of finasteride every day since last september, thats nearly 8 months at this point. I have to say I have experienced no sexual side affect (thank God), even when I'm completely wasted on booze.

I don't think I've lost much hair since I started taking finasteride 8 months ago - my left temple receded a tiny bit, but I have experienced no regrowth of hair either. I'm on 5% minoxidil twice daily too. I'm considering upping my dosage to 1 1/2mg of finasteride next month - mainly for the sake of convenience of cutting the tablets and to see if it aids regrowth.
