Finasteride + Dutasteride And My Serum Dht And T Are Increasing !!

Hi everybody, this is my first post

GENERAL: i'm loosing hair from 2 years almost, i'm 30 years. By now i can see my scalp and my temples are receding 1 cm. every 5-6 months. I lose at the moment 200 hairs every 3 days ( around 30 first day, 30 second day, and more than one hundred on the third day (with hair washing) ).

TREATMENTS: 1.25 gr. Finasteride from 1 decembre 2016. 1.25 mg Finasteride alternate with 0.5 mg. Dutasteride from 1 April 2017. After 20 days before add dutasteride i starded to shed more than before (200 every 3 days, before 100-120 every 3 days), and my hair are very oily.

DISCUSSION: I had blood analysis of Testoserone and DHT, before starting treatments and then 3 days ago (7 months after treatment start.

1 week before treatment:
- Plasmatic T: 6,29 ng/mL
- Free T: 32,1 pg/mL
- Serum DHT: 634 pg/mL

7 months after treatment start:
- Plasmatic T: 7,79 ng/mL
- Free T: 37,6 pg/mL
- Serum DHT: 642 pg/mL

With daily use of finasteride and dutasteride my serum DHT levels shouldnt be much lower? Incressed level of T that you can see could rapresent Dutasteride is working, but why serum DHT is a bit higher than before?
Is possible that increased T influences Sebum production? In the end i have even high levels of Bilirubin (2,3 mg/dL), and after 7 months of threatments seems that nothing is working... Thanks who will answer !

What time of day did you take the blood tests? T levels vary greatly throughout the day, free t, total t, etc will be higher in the morning. Also, the time between you taking the dutasteride and having your blood test will also effect results.

I had both blood test at same time (8 AM) .. I know they can vary, anyway after 7 months of finasteride and Dutasteride, DHT should be very very low at any time of the day..

Is your head itchy, hair more greasy than before treatment, any acne, hows libido? No idea why ur dht is still high or at normal range. How often do u take dutasteride. Are you having the blood test done by a doctor, what did the dr say. Just saw a thread about gilberts syndrome relating to your bilirubin. Maybe u should see an endo.

Yes i feel itchy on my head from 2-3 months (but i felt like this every past spring and sumer), absolutly NO acne, libido as ever, sperm as ever.

I take one day 1.25 finasteride and other day 0.5 dutasteride

Some people don't respond as well. And I am convinced that reflex hyperandrogenicity is totally a thing. If you aren't already on Nizoral, I would suggest using it for the itch.

Or maybe he is just a non-responder or has reflext hyperandrogenicity. I mean I would be suspicious if he ordered them off of some website but he said he got them from the brick and mortar pharmacy in his town. I mean I guess it is possible if he lives in a developing country or something and pharmacies aren't perfect but the chance of getting fakes meds from an FDA approved brick and mortar pharmacy in the Western world is only about 1%. The only way to really know if they are fake or not is if you get them tested at a lab, which can be expensive and that only tells if one particular bottle is fake or not. If there is something wrong it could be possible that the generic has a different formulation and his body is not absorbing it well.

I'm from Italy, i got finasteride + dutasteride with a prescription of my Tricologist, even if Dutasteride is for Prostate cancer he signed to me.. so i'm very sure my drugs are original. Thn i don't have Huperandrogenicity, when i had blood test before starting treatment my hormones levels were perfectly in normal range, as now..

Yeah you might not be a responder. But it could be hyperandrogenicity if you are still within normal range on a drug that is supposed to nuke 90-95 percent of DHT.

The remain option is the second bloodtest is from another person lol

If so i should see hyperandrogenicity before i started treatment, and i was not.. so the only answer is that Finasteride and Dutasteride dont bind with 5AR enzymes

yes he just said try this way, after 6 months if nothing happens switch to dutasteride only 0.5 mg / day. But i think there is no regimen working for me ..
