hi guys!, I am 24 yr old suffering from male pattern baldness, taking finasteride/duta for the same. I read somewhere online that in the long term finasteride/duta while it blocks the dht conversion, some free t can aromatize to estrogen in the body. I also read somewhere that as men age their body t drops, and estrogen starts dominating. So a person taking finasteride/dutasteride can end up with more estrogen in their body. I also read that estrogen dominance in men can also lead to hairloss(not sure how that causes though?). So in the long term when estrogen effects starts occurring, will everything get flipped? as in more hair loss?? any ideas?

Estrogen plays no role in hair loss. The culprit is DHT, the only hormone potent enough to trigger follicular miniaturization. Some people suggest that testosterone may also be able to trigger follicular miniaturization to a lesser extent, although there is no evidence to back up this claim.

May I ask why you are using both finasteride and dutasteride? If you're using dutasteride then there will be nothing extra to gain by also using finasteride. Dutasteride does everything that finasteride does and more.

I read some posts related to what I was mentioning (one is this https://perfecthairhealth.com/men-stop-thinking-your-hair-loss-is-due-to-high-testosterone/).

oh, I recently started dutasteride, will wean off finasteride once I reach a good level of dosing on duta

I'm taking both finasteride and dutasteride as well. But only because I can't stand more than 1-2 0.5mg dutasteride pills a week (Brain fog/slight headache). So finasteride 1mg is my daily pill.

hmm I too felt brain fog I think. don't know what that is but if some one asks me any questions I usually blabber(like a little bit, feeling confused), and find it really hard to perform basic math sometimes(like basic mult, add.. lol). it's a shitty life

Is that only on dutasteride or finasteride as well?
