Hi,

I'm considering starting using finasteride.

Is there anything specific to super hairy guys with it ?

I've had back hair since I was like 24. Other than that, I'm just very hairy.
Is it going to slow down my hair growth on the rest of my body ?
And are hairy types supposed to react better ?

Thanks,

My back hair disappeared within 6 months of starting finasteride. I had random patches of it and it's 90% gone. The rest of my body hair is also slightly finer and lighter---nothing dramatic, but definitely a noticeable difference (to me).

I feel my body hair is growing slightly quicker. Never been very hairy, just moderate, I fully groom too every 2 weeks but seems to be a touch faster growth. DHT is more to do with developing body hair, speed of growth may be a T thing. Then again, it's a little different for everyone.

I'm pretty sure I've got wayyy above normal T or DHT. Clues are : big time body hair (growth speed, distribution, etc.). Being horny all the time. Big ejaculations. Penis length is 8in. Less and less hair on my head, Etc. Etc.

I'm very scared of taking finasteride because of the sides. BUT... it if were proven that patients with high T were not (or less) at risk for the sexual sides, I think I'd jump in right away...

It looks like no one can really tell.

You could by trying it out for a month. You're already at an advantage if you have a lot of dht meaning even at 10% you'll have a fairly decent amount of dht in you

From what I understand, sides also depend on your estrogen levels, not just testosterone and DHT levels. Only way to find out is to try yourself. and IF you do get sides, they might subside, but IF they don't then get off finasteride and you will be back to normal.

Could you elaborate how estrogen level affect sides from finasteride? Do you have any sources?

I don't have sources but from reading about what other experienced users have told me, sides can occur because of pre-finasteride hormonal imbalance. For example, If one has a high estrogen ratio to T, then this can certainly cause sides.
