I figured I would post this just because people always seem interested in reduced finasteride dosages.
I was on .5 mg finasteride every day for a month and my DHT levels went from 37 ng/dl pre meds to 6 ng/dl after. So personally I saw an over 80% decrease in DHT on just .5 mg.
Unfortunately after three weeks I was getting itchy nipples and I think some swelling of the breasts. No hard tissue but I swear there was definitely some enlargement. I stuck it out for the full month knowing I had some lab work coming up. The only other sides I noticed other than that were very slight ball ache just a few times and the occasional watery jizz. I would say if anything my libido increased a little.
Anyway, Ive been off for two weeks and have noticed the nipple itch is pretty much gone.
I'm a little torn as what to do now. I could try .25 I guess. I also don't know if Im one of those up regulation people because I noticed my scalp itch definitely increased with finasteride.
