I am on finasteride and will continue it. Only got off the minoxidil.

Alloprehnanolone deficiency is believed to be a significant cause of finasteride sides, but I don't know if that's demonstrated.

And yet 97% of propecia users don't get sides. It's easy to scare monger, but the fact is that for most it makes no discernible difference.

I could say 5ar2 catalyzes Dihychlorosterone to isochloronalone, and without propecia this process cannot function. I literally just made that up, but I'm sure if I told people to get off of propecia and said this would destroy their erection quality plenty would listen. It's all just noise until you see the OVERALL effect, and the truth is that less than 5% of men get ANY side effects on propecia, and that is backed by hundreds of studies.

Cet looked looked promising at first for regrowth and it did cause tone of small hairs to spawn but like minoxidil they never get past 1/4" or so. No sides at all. I think it's on par with minoxidil for maintaining but no regrowth. I've been here since 2007 and I've seen and tried everything.

Hair transplants look ridiculous if you lose more hair behind them. There may be better drugs out soon.

from what ive read hormone replacement therapy is bullshit.

have you heard of the cd nuts protocol? is the health rebuilding plan a lot of guys with pfs use to cure themselves from this sh*t. the guy who came up with it is currently active on swolesource.com. (a bodybuilding forum). the guy was in a mess for years but rebuilt his health through fasting and healthy living. no bullshit meds from the doctors. it seems to be the go to cure to fix this mess. loads guys are having success with it

man im looking for anything that can just slow it down. even just temporarily for a year or so. just want to keep as much as i can for as long as i can. i dont really believe any new treatments will be out in the few years. maybe 10. so i just wana slow this f****r down.

i assume this guy is middle aged? 30s/40s? and said only now his hairloss is starting to get bad. so i assume its relatively slow hair loss?? he might be a candidate for a hair transplant with out meds

also, being an older, it wouldnt look too bad having a hairline rebuilt and having some hair lost behind it over time. as long as it was only some. it would look normal for his age. all depends on the hair loss. it would look stupid on a younger guy for sure, and be a bad idea in general to do it.

How are you handling it?

So far so good, David! I started in 6 January, and till now I've titrated my way up to 0.25mg ED. My plan is to reach 0.5mg ED, but I think I will stay where I am for some more weeks. The titration approach is, in my opinion, a wonderful way to infer your personal thresholds of effects and tolerability of sides, and a good overall way to deal with the undesirable effects. I'm waiting some more, but I will eventually open a thread to detail my account on this. Just casual stuff.

I'm 58 yeah my hair loss has been slow but progressive now at the point where I'm really struggling with it
