I have been on finasteride for about 10 years.
When I first started using it (around the age of 24) i was very thin hair on my crown.
I was able to regrow all my hair back within a year and a half. Everyone was amazed on how I did it. Everyone thought I had a hair transplant.

Around 4 years later. finasteride's effectiveness stopped.
Since then, I have been gradually losing everything I have grown back and am back to square one, or even worse now.

Has anyone gone through this? SHould I start and give my body a break from it and start back up in 6mths?
Let me know your thoughts.
I have never had any side effects at all..
thanks.

Well first if possible see derm or doctor where you get it from. If not you could try increasing dose although its anyone guess how much that might help or try dutasteride. I personally think hair adapts to lower androgens and makes do to continue the process with less of them but its obvious no one knows much about why it happens

Just to rule out an improbable culprit/explanation I have to ask whether you changed product brands at all in the past 3 or so years. This unwanted "tolerance effect" has been known to happen. Thanx for sharing.

After i stopped Proscar (finasteride) that i used 3 years,i changed the brand because there was no Proscar anymore in Bulgaria..i have to say that only for 8-9 months everything went very bad...i am not sure if it is because of the new brand is **** or faulty but after i changed the brand i got worse...
