I'm 19, been losing for the past year and 9 months. I'm entering my 12th week on Nizoral/Proscar(divided in 4) and rapidly balding. In these 3 months, I went from a diffuse Norwood 2.5 to an extremely diffused Norwood 3. I've heard people say that you have to give it a full year, but at this rate I'll be a Norwood 6 within 6 months. So how the hell is it gonna work then?
This can't be a finasteride shed as the hair on top of my head is miniaturizing fast. In fact most of what I have left on top is miniaturized. The contrast is very noticable even with a 0.5 buzz. This wasn't the case when I started treatment.
My hair was already pretty bad to begin with, but I had it buzzed down to a zero and let it grow to a 1 before buzzing again. I would've been happy to maintain that or even what I have now which is pretty pathetic. I just don't want to be NW3-4+ at the age of 19 and look like a freak.
I didn't even think it would be possible to become a horseshoe within 2 years of the beginning of the balding process.
Any words of wisdom/advice?
