I started when I was just feeling the processes starting...had a full head of hair. Well now my top is very thin and I have a receeding right side that I cover with my left side which can mask it well for now!

But what to do, try advoart or whatever it is?

Been using the big 3...seems like results are poor for me!

sounds like a plan to me. Hopefull the decreased DHT from dutasteride will be enough to halt your male pattern baldness

you haven't seen ANY gain at all? No fuzzy hair along the hairline?

The big 3 are not working for me.

I am losing hair all over the place, i dont have the normal receeding hair, i have diffuse hair loss and losing it all over, on my sides is very bad and at the front middle. Hairline is very good though but you can see straight through to my scalp all over my hair

so depressing, didn't think it got that bad but moved my hair around a bit and its shocking, also saw the side of my hair in a photo and i had a big bald spot showing

i think im going to do the big shave soon :(

I go sunbedding and stuff, but i head that the sunbeds where you stand up are better for your scalp cause you get tanned there too. I think a all over tan especially on the top of your head is important. Anyone sunbed? I do about 3 times a week. I'm going to start a thread on sunbedding;.

If finasteride isn't working the logicl next step is to go to dutasteride, the extra DHT inhibition may just halt your loss.

I have heard that sun and uv rays are not good for your hair. I woulnd't recommend using tanning machines that get your scalp.

Thanks all...I am 30 now, started at 28. Seems everyone starts at a different age and doesn't matter as much, as long as it's before say 35 i guess.

Anyway, I just don't know if the finasteride has had any effect. I started at a very earl stage, as was suggested. But it's been downhill...horseshoe is in place (not scene yet, but i feel it ther ewith less hair than back.) Also my back of hair and sides have a normal feel, but the top is just raggedy and not nice. No volume.

I guess dutasteride is the next step...here's hoping!
