I'm using 1mg of Propecia a day. I've read about 5mg being available to some people, what would happen if I took 5 of the ones I'm on per day instead? What are the chances of improved hair regrowth with the higher dose?

It seems that there is no benefit in taking more than 1mg. Actually, it has been shown that 0.2mg is about as effective as 1.0mg.

It seems that there is no benefit in taking more than 1mg. Actually, it has been shown that 0.2mg is about as effective as 1.0mg.

There is a slight benefit of taking 5 mg versus 1 mg. DHT is more suppressed with the higher dose. It _may_ not be significant for male pattern baldness, however.
