Hey, I just wanted to start this thread about finasteride and mainly guys who have experience with taking different dosages (mainly higher than recommended; in the range of 2.5mg and above). What were your experiences in these dosages, was it any better or worse? How did you feel on this dose? Did you experience any shedding? And why did you choose to take this dose? It would be great to have an input from you guys or anyone who has any experience with finasteride and wants to add something. Thanks

Some guy on this forum said he has been taking 1.66mg with no sides. but I really don't see the point in taking 2.5 as I've seen studies in which it says there is no difference in effectiveness between taking 1mg and above. But why don't you try 2.5mg yourself and let us know if it has helped with your hair loss at all? that will be interesting! Good luck!

Tried 2.5 for a year and then again for 6 months. No sides and no improvement at all. Maintenance not really change either.
