Good chance its in your mind. Especially if you noticed it after 1 day! But hey, stranger things have happened. I like finasteride too... ive had a relationship with her for 3 years. Some of the best years of my life ;)

Since absolutely nobody answered this guys question .... I will.

Yes this is relative to the user, but what you are experiencing is totally normal. Its not in your head. Finasteride stops the creation of DHT which is a more potent hormone than Testosterone. So even though in time Testosterone goes up, the reduction of DHT in the system will show an overall decrease in libido.

The issue here is how long it takes your body to overcompensate and produce more Testosterone to restore your libido. How long that takes is entirely up to how quickly your body takes to make "T".

Usually this libido fluctuation only lasts as long as the first month, maybe a little into month two.

But the question remains, do you like finasteride?

i like admin...thanks admin..

i would like finasteride too...except its given me this decrease in libido...and i dont remember what its like to be horny anymore! ... yeah its definitely not in my head...guess i'll wait it out..

but the worst bit is...2 weeks into it ..(yesterday)...when i shampoo'd...i lost...about...200 hair!!!!!!!! i've never lost that much in my life :S !!!! i have never lost above 40 ever!!..here i am feeling good that i'm doing something about my hairloss with my trusty 5% minoxidil and my 1 mg finasteride...and i goto the washroom for a quick shampoo....washing in the rinse..and suddenly the water level keeps rising..so i look down...and i couldnt even see the water :D !..isnt that funnY? only HAIR !....so i turn the tap off..let the water settle down...and guess what :D ! yay! i plugged up the sink with AT LEAST 200 hair!..

today it was at least another 60 to 80......if this shed keeps up..what the hell is it that i'm supposed to be maintaining?!? the hair that i lose due to finasteride?!

another thing...this shed thing once you start finasteride/minoxidil...its understood that its neither a good sign nor a bad right? is it just a t.e induced by the medication ...? and will this hair regrow ? or will i have to wait a year?

my hair now REALLY looks like sh*t...

Admin, would you say that breast enlargement would be another propecia side effect that may resolve itself after 1-1.5 months? Because my chest has become enlarged and I have these weird chest tingling sensations and sometimes a sore feeling mainly in my left breast area. I've been on Propecia for 3 1/2 weeks now so I don't know if I should stick with Propecia or go on a topical route.

I am only on 0.5mg every other day. Been on it for a month. I noticed after the first day or two that I didn't get morning woods anymore and no woodies throughout the day, but for the first week or two I had no problems getting it up when I needed to.

The week or so after that I was like 80% at best and that worried me a bit. But now I'm strong as ever. Went til dawn last night.

I swear I was also more bloated in my waistline and chest when I first started using propecia, but seems to have gone away about the time I got my libido back.

This week I have felt really lethargic when I run, have a hard time pushing myself past 2 miles, when before 5 was no problem. That's probably all in my head though.

Just got a haircut today too. Think more hair has fallen out since I started propecia. Might be a good thing since it may seem that propecia is working. I'm going to stick it out for a year though granted I dont get unwanted fat deposits, deciding on whether or not I should up my dosage to 1mg every other day.

I did realize one thing though and that is that I'd rather have a nice body and working unit than hair. Barely though.

Been on finasteride for 5 months, libido was down from day 1 until I stopped. Also noticed skin became wrinkly. Went from n1 to a n2 while using. I dont know why sheding lasted for 5 months, Stopped when my side burns started to recede, not a usual palce for male pattern baldness.
