Finasteride vs. Propecia

Allright, it is either coincidence or the cause. After 2 years on propecia, I got lazy and switched to finasteride from the link on this site. After 2 months of use now, I am seeing a huge difference from 3 to 4 months ago. Should I switch back or is it my system adjusting to the change. I still have a 2 month supply left but I am willing to switch back to propecia if this continues.

I also take rogaine, thinking about the shampoo, but my hair is so fine that I am real particular about what shampoo I can use to be able to style my hair so that I am ok with it.

Please respond with any thoughts.

Difference? I take it that it's a negative difference..

Finasteride? Propecia IS finasteride, but I take it you mean that you ordered generic "Finpecia" from this site..

There should be no difference between Finpecia (generic brand finasteride made in India by Cipla) and Propecia (name brand finasteride made by Merck in the USA). Still, some of the people on this board don't trust generic brands, possibly because they think India is some third world country that couldn't possibly create a product as good as one made in the USA. I've been using generic finasteride (once even from this site) for 11 months and I've seen great progress.

So, there.. Should be no difference between the two brands, but that's based on my opinion, along with the opinions of many others on this board. I'd keep battling on with finpecia if I were you. It's also possible that your baldness is just getting more aggressive, though you'll have to figure this out for yourself.

Yes, the difference is negative, and yes it is generics that I am taking now. I trusted this site and I thought what the hell, it is cheaper and I dont have to take time out of my schedule to see the dermatoligist. I was just curious if anyone else has seen a negative effect from switching.
