started finasteride there about 2 weeks ago, i use nizoral shampoo 2-3 times a week. i am looking to regrow some hair in temple area i am about a Norwood 1-2.

i am just wondering should i stay in finasteride for 6months and see what happens then maybe add minoxidil or would you reccommend starting minoxidil now??

i would say definately stay on just finasteride for 6 months.

its so much better to start 1 item at a time. see how it works, any side effects, sheds ,etc. 6 months if the average time for a product to have full effect.

I think starting multiple treatments simultaneously might be preferable... if each one causes your hair to shed and regrow under the new conditions, might as well make it go through that adaptation only once.

Judging whether a treatment is working or not seems illusory too me... there are too many factors... best to just go with the most well-backed treatments and stick with them.

I recommend only starting mixodil if you have to. It's for regrowth, not prevention, and many people want to save it for when they really need it down the road.

For prevention, finasteride + spironolactone + Revivogen + Nizoral seems very solidly backed to me.

After a few years on finasteride + Revivogen, I've recently started experiencing some serious shedding, so I've added spironolactone + Nizoral.
