I've been taking Cipla Fincar 5mg broke in to quarters for over a year now. It hasn't worked at all. My hair loss is definitely worse. I

Anyone know where to get real Finasteride? My GP won't prescribe it.

Cipla Fincar is 'real' finasteride. If it isn't working for you then finasteride prescribed by a doctor isn't going to work either.

Ah well, guess i'm a lost cause then. It hasn't even slowed down my loss.

Any other medication that can help?

Maybe Dutasteride/Avodart.

Cheers.

I've read about other people having problems with Cipla Fincar stuff. I might see if i can get another brand and try it before using Dutasteride. The side effects are supposedly pretty common on that, if i'm not mistaken.

Maybe Proxiphen. The doctor who designed Proxiphen says it's "unquestionably more effective than finasteride alone." It's a side-effect-free topical cream with numerous powerful ingredients. If you can afford it (it's expensive), I'd certainly take him up on his claim!

Is that all you're going to say when I cite what may be the best available male pattern baldness treatment ever made? Something designed and produced by a doctor (both an MD and a PhD)? Where the hell did YOU go to medical school, to be able to have an opinion like what you wrote above? :dunno:

Bryan is a shill for Proctor and his products. He's been shill 'n spam'n the crap for 15+ years. There are plenty of docs with hair loss products out there. With patents on their ingreds/products as well. There is no evidence for Proctor's/Bryan's claims or wishes. Not only has Proctor not said which specific cu peptides are used, but he and Bryan also talk about "mysterious ingredients" that are not in the ingreds list(s). Snake-oil talk that is supposed to get you even more excited about the products. For all the reasons above..he should have been laughed out of these forums years ago.

Can anyone confirm this?

Never heard of this Proxiphen before. I come to this forum every few weeks to seek new advice, as this male pattern baldness is troubling me....be a shame if ppl on here are promoting unproven products for their own purpose/greed :dunno:

Dr. Proctor (the guy who designed Proxiphen) is a legitimate member of the medical community here in Houston. He is not just an MD, but also a PhD. He has researched things related to hair loss for decades. He is responsible for ways of fighting male pattern baldness (like with SODs) which are almost exclusively associated with him. Bottom-line: he's the real deal.

The same goes for their- "better bang for the buck" talk regarding getting the non-prescription products from places outside of Proctor's website. They want you to believe those cheaper versions are lite/watered-down...are you really going to purchase a lite/watered-down version of a product for something so difficult to treat as male pattern baldness? Buy the "more potent" crap directly from Proctor and he makes a bit more money. For all the reasons above..he should have been laughed out of these forums years ago.

I can't see what you can get out of constantly giving these random newbies your positive critique on Proctor. Somehow I don't think you are some existential philanthropist.

If it were anyone else they would be banned 100 times over by now!

Are people also banned for recommending Propecia and Rogaine?

I can't see what else you could possibly be getting out of it. It's not like a conversation built and it led to Proctor. Boom, straight in there as usual. It's obvious.

Only occasionally do I even mention Dr. Proctor's products. When I mention them at all, it's because there's a good REASON to do so: somebody specifically mentions that he's having side effects from Propecia, and wonders if there's any other treatment (besides Propecia) that he can use; somebody asks if there's anything he can add to Propecia, to help it work better; somebody asks if he's "doomed" that he can't use Propecia; somebody's doctor won't prescribe Propecia for him; etc. etc. All of those are obvious reasons for me to suggest Proxiphen/Prox-N to the other posters who mentioned those scenarios.
