Actually, Bernstein usually prescribed dutasteride these days. I don't think he prescribes
Finasteride any more.
The common dosage of Finasteride, which many men did well with, was 1.25 milligrams.
In other words, Proscar (five milligram Finasteride), cut in fourths.
That usually did between 70 - 75 % DHT reduction. Dustasteride is much better, and 0.5 milligrams
reduces DHT by ninety percent.
For the record, I myself (and I have Norwood 3v hair, used to have Norwood five back in 2013, use
liquid Finasteride.
Liquid Finasteride is basically the same, except is reduces DHT by slightly more (~ 80% DHT reduction).
However, it still doesn't beat Dustasteride. dutasteride is only in solid form, as far as I know.
Also note, the side effects from topical really aren't any different. In my own personal opinion, I believe
one in twenty (five percent) of men will have side effects. Although nineteen out of twenty (95%), will
not have any issues with it.
It should also be noted, most men who are white, do not regrow temple hair (I said most). However, your
central hairline will probably grow back. And it might/probably will retard temple balding, or completely halt it.
In my opinion, Finasteride should be used with five percent Minoxidil foam. Once your DHT is under control,
a hair regrowth agent helps.
