Fincar vs. Finpecia: Which is better bang for your buck?

So I've done some research, and I'm trying to compare the prices of Finpecia (finasteride 1mg) to that of Fincar (finasteride 5mg. Quarter it and you have 1.25mg).

A normal supply of Fincar seems to be about $70 and will last you about a year. The price for Finpecia, however, seems pretty much all over the board, with ranging quantity amounts as well (also it's produced in India... I'm not too keen on that).

I am getting a prescription for Fincar but would like some info on the costs of Finpecia as well. I'd rather not take 1.25mg of finasteride a day if I only need 1mg, as I am very paranoid about the sides....

Anyone here tried either of these products and could clear this up for me?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Fincar is also produced by Cipla, the Indian Pharmaceutical company.

I've been using Fincar for 2 years with no results, or sides, to phone home about. I've supposed I've maintained in the crown, but continued to recede in the temples.

I use 1.25 Fincar, it works for me, no sides. Never checked on Finpecia.
