Finisteride Caused Gynocomastia, What To Do Now?!

I am 23 years old and started using Finisteride (propecia) 1mg per day. After 2 weeks I could feel the start of gynocomastia - small lumps around nipple area. I have since ceased taking finasteride.

I have to questions.

1. Is there anything I can buy easily (without prescription as I doubt my doctor will do anything other than tell me to stay away from finasteride) to prevent/get rid of gynocomastia which will allow me to stay on finasteride??

2. If I can't go down the above route... Should I start with minoxidil? Or anything else for my regimen. My temples have only slightly started receding/thinning, the crown of my hair is still thick.

Thanks!

your main concern should be fighting off the gyno. get off finasteride for at least a month or 2 to ensure that your nipples will stabilize back to pre finasteride levels. if that happens introduce finasteride very slowly to your body while maintaining a healthy diet and if you need to, lose some weight. Losing weight is the most natural estrogen reducer we have, so use it to your advantage.

Cheers.

What is an aramatase inhibitor? Is it an anti estrogen blocker?

Also. Should I try minixodil or any other treatments whilst using lower levels of finasteride?

Thanks

Aromatase inhibitor. Try microdosing finasteride after the symptoms have subsided. Take .25mg every day or two.

I wouldn't jump into connclusions if I were you. When I started finasteride I also thought there are lumps forming around my nipples. I spotted them probably just because I hadn't have a habit of touching my nipples every ten minutes before. I still have a vast gallery of daily photos of my nipples from different angles just to check whether they were ok. They were, they are.

I am not telling you are wrong, you know your body better than I do, yet I wanted to share my experience :)
For more information on Gyno I suggest visiting gyno-related forums :)

The problem with that is this...

I used to weigh 210 lbs, so I was something like 50 pounds overweight, and did not have fatty/puffy nipples/gyno.
Now I weigh 150 lbs, and get gyno from finasteride.

That means finasteride increases estrogen more than being 50 lbs overweight. For someone who is already at a normal weight there is no way in hell to combat Finasteride gyno with losing weight. It can help, just a little bit. Maybe it can reduce your estrogen by 5%, but Finasteride will increase it by 30%.

That's fair enough, but I'm 99% sure it is the case. I can feel several small lumps around the nipple and I've read that the pectoral muscle should not have small lumps around them. However I'm seeing doctor tomorrow so il know for sure then.

Letro will kill it but make sure you do your research first
Ive read lots about letrozole, toremifine etc but I'm sure there prescription only?

And I highly doubt my doctor will prescribe them! Any ideas on where to obtain any estrogen blockers legitmately?

Do your research though. Bodybuilding.com in the forums... whatever estrogen blocker you use you need to taper off it and be pretty strict with what times of the day you take it otherwise you can get rebound. Letro kills your estrogen to almost nothing and will gove you sore joints and bones etc but all goes away when you taper back off it and your estrogen goes to normal level

But will the estrogen levels not go back up when you cease taking the blockers? And since I'd still be taking finisteride it would go back high again and cause gyno?

If finasteride has pushed your estrogen to high then yes same thing will happen if you come off a estrogen blocker and go back on finasteride ... mabey you could go back on finasteride but at a lower does. Up to you man but you gotto fight the gyno ( if it turns out to be gyno ) now. If you have sensative glands in your chest you will start to deposit breast tissue which at a certain point wont be reversable without surgery

Well in my case I was 250 got gyno symptoms from finasteride (inflated chest, inflated gland, sometimes painful). Got off finasteride fought gyno to almost 80% reduction. Got back on Finn and stayed healthy, yes my nipples are a little puffy now but no inflation and no pain or irritation whatsoever. Also, finasteride increases Estro by 15%. It's really individual to each person, some people could go way over with 15% some people may just experience acute symptoms initially and have it never progress further than that.

I see enough people who take finasteride and don't get gyno, but in my case I actually now got mild fat deposits around the nipples (it looks like a mound of fat around the nipple) and then the nipple itself is also puffy, but no lumps inside oddly enough. Either way it keeps growing slowly ( you can really see the fat accumulation under an overheard light it forms like a shadow on the chest) so I have to quit finasteride because of this.

You're still on finasteride? Didn't you speak on quitting a month or 2 ago? Yeah if it caused me any aesthetic problem id prob drop it too. But temporary puffiness doesn't bother me, my nipples were always slightly puffy

I have nothing to replace it with yet. I have a pretty heavy topical regimen as a backup plan. End of the month I should be getting some RU, until then, topical finasteride.

If psuedogyno is your only side I wouldn't drop it for some unproven treatments man
