Hey guys, I'm 21 years old and brand new to this whole thing. Haven't even thought about it until now. The main thing I have noticed is my hair isn't as thick as it used to be and my hairline keeps going back. Any advice on what I should start? Going to visit a dermatologist but those appointments are scheduled like 4 months in advanced.

First set of four pictures are with a combover, second set of pictures are my hair combed straight.

Any Advice would be greatly appreciated

Not a doctor here. But a quick glance at your first four pics, receding hairline is quite obvious there.
I would put my bet you might be hit with male pattern baldness and the doctor would prescribe Finasteride and/or Minoxidil.

Looks like male pattern baldness I'm afraid, I would't wait 4 months for the dermatologist as your hair loss would have probably worsened by then and most derm's are useless anyways.

Looks like male pattern baldness going to want to start big 3 Finasteride/Minoxidil/Nizoral

I don't know how you can expedite your meeting with your derm sooner maybe call in your GP and ask if he will prescribe it.

Would you recommend I start getting a prescription for Generic Finasteride 5mg and cut it into fourths? How about a prescription for Keto 2%(i can get that through my pharmacy of pure Keto 2% shampoo a 120ml bottle and I know it would be covered)

And the Minoxidil I should just buy the foam from a cvs pharmacy as well right? That doesn't need a prescription

I would skip the dermatologist and just go see a general practice doctor. Maybe a family doctor or someone. They're just as likely to prescribe Finasteride. I don't know where you're located, but if you have a Walmart in the area, they offer a generic 5 MG Finasteride for an unbelievable $9 per 30 pills. And you break those pills into quarters, so that's 120 days worth for nine bucks. Not bad at all. That's what I'm doing. I'm also 21 and have been on it about a month. Not a whole lot of progress to speak of yet (as expected), but I've already noticed a little bit of regrowth around the vertex. Not so much with the hairline, but maybe that'll come. It's DEFINITELY worth a try. I'm already happy with the results.

Also, check out Nioxin shampoo/conditioner/scalp therapy. I'm not using the scalp therapy, as I just had money for the shampoo and the conditioner, but that's definitely worth a try as well.

Best of luck,

Asher

VERY hard to say if that is going to turn into male pattern baldness or just thinning at the temples. To me the density of the top looks pretty good.

Honestly don't even know where I would apply the minoxidil/keto 2%. Just at my temples? Theres no bald spots at the top of my head

100% MBP, what do you think is causing the receding temples?
