Hello all. I visited one of the best HR Dr's today and he advised me to take Propecia, and tried to sign me up for it. He told me a man my age (24) with a Norwood 2 should see the best results. The pills are like 800-900$ annually. I was wondering if anyone knew of some good, reliable online pharmacies and if generic Propecia works like the real stuff. Any feedback would be great. Thanks.

Dr.lee sells a month supply for $25 I believe, at minoxidil.com

I am sure there are cheaper places still. In house pharmacy is a name tossed around a lot.

I just went to Dr Lee's web site and it says the Propecial is not avaliable. I went to inhousepharmacy.com and they as 328 for 168 pills. If I were to pay that much i would just order them from the doctor. Does anyone else know of some reliable online pharmacys? Or does generic propecia work just as well as the regular stuff? thanks.

I can understand why you would not want to spend that kind of $. Look, what I can tell you is, I've been taking Finasteride(generic Propecia) for 3 months now. I pay $15 for a bottle with 22 pills that lasts for 3 months(although I guess the exact out of pocket price is based on your nsurance.) I have also been using generic minoxidil purchased at Wal-Mart, a 3 month supply for about $22. So far, this regimen is working. I see people on here spending several hundreds of dollars on treatment taking 9 or 10 different things and I just don't get it. I guess if people think they need all of these things, who am I to tell them anything. I can only speak for myself and It has only been a short time, but I can tell you that the generics are working for me(God willing they will continue to work.) My advice to you is the same as the Dr's advice to me "The generic stuff works just as well. I wish all the luck in the world in your fight my friend! I know that it is one that none of us asked for.

Should I tell the family Dr straight up that I want to use generic proscar to prevent balding? Or should I tell him I have a "going" problem? lol
