Fixing gel, wax, etc: good, bad or neither?

Hi everybody!

Before telling anything, i must apologize 1st for my english, since i am portuguese and i dont dominate english.

Now, my question: i just started an hair loss treatment and i wanna know if i must avoid fixing gel, hair wax (is that the english word?) and products like that.

I am really confused because half of the people i know tells me: "Fixing gel [and so on] is dangerous and can make you hair disapear in the long run" the other half tells me " Fixing gel is good because will protect you hair".

Now what?!! I am completly clueless about that!


Can you help me?

It's not good for your hair, plain and simple. It causes breakage, and there is residue left on the scalp from the chemicals.

In all, it's not going to exacerbate your male pattern baldness, but it might f*** up your hair's fragile condition.

Use a high quality light hold gelm or pliable wax. I use American Crew Forming cream. Its excellent and smells delicious.

American Cre Forming? I live in Portugal so i think we dont have that. DO you know any other similar stuff that is well known in all world?

Abou tthat wax u speak about, do you notice that it makes your hair becoming weaker?

My hair is always with a fragile and weak aspect, without any bright. I, ve tried everything. I suspect that the problem is in the water for taking shower. Man, this is so ridiculous: if i dont wash my hair for, lets say, 2-3 days, my hair will look much, better (maybe this is a good question for other thread). Why is that?

In Summer, i was in hollydays in other part of the country and after taking shower my hair was with a very good aspect. Thats the reason i suspect on water (i can smell to much Clore-Cl- on my water...maybe thats the problem).

Anyway, comimg back on topic, i would appreciate other products that dont destroy that much the hair.
