I just started using the Folligen cream last night and like 3 minutes after applying it to the hairline as directed i started to feel a itching and burning
sensation where i applied it.Its not an unbearable feeling but i was wondering if it was normal??...
I had the same problem, which like Cassin said seemed to go away. My scalp always felt awesome the next day even if it kinda burned when I applied it at night. I wish I could still use folligen, but I started to look like the incredible hulk after a couple of weeks, due to my blonde balding head.
i use Folligen lotion and it does burn a bit. The main reason for that is that it consists of retinyl palmitate.. which is a salt of retinoic acid ("Retin-A") like in the dr. lee's night formulations. The retinyl palmitate is there just like it appears in the minoxidil night formulations: Taking off dandruff, moderating the sebum glands, enhancing the copper peptides penetration into the scalp. The copper peptides themselves can cause a very mild irritation. So no worry. It' normal )
I personally LOVE this burning sensation becasue I can "feel" it is working and actually doing something. But of course, I know the burning sensation has nothing to do with the efficacy of the product.
if you experience burning sensation with folligen then i would consider it a good thing. Its like pouring peroxide on an open wound. this will soon subside as your scalp gets into better condition. If it is burning too much then folligen states that you can dilute the solution until your scalp becomes more healed and in better shape. Don't worry about it at all and in fact, be hopefull that by using folligen it will absolutely make your other hairloss solutions more effective as your scalp gets into better condition.
