The last time I bought Folligen (and a bottle of emu oil) I got them from http://www.skinbiology.com/

Don't know if they ship to your part of the world though.

This website offers a good comparison of the two products
http://www.ageless-beauty.com/folligen-two.html

she makes a good argument for folligen in that "Note that Folligen’s Copper Peptide appears very high on the ingredient list. By volume it is the third largest component. Tricomin’s Copper Peptide is way at the bottom – just before the preservatives, menthol and dyes."

Nobody's denying the fact that folligen has a lot more copper-peptide than Tricomin. The really interesting question is which technique is ultimately more effective for treating hairloss: large quantities of randomly-generated peptides (Folligen), or small quantities of a specific hand-picked peptide (Tricomin).

However she goes on to say that one of folligens main ingrediants: "cupric sulphate, all I found was that in pure 100% form, it should not be inhaled or ingested in large amounts and that it is harmful to aquatic life."
Idk...if this should not be inhaled or ingested, how safe is it to apply to your scalp for years on end

Because of the danger of applying significant quantities of copper salts (ionized copper, in other words) to your scalp, Dr. Pickart has been careful to state that the quantity of ionized copper in Folligen is extremely low....something on the order of only 1 in a million, if I remember correctly. I wouldn't worry about that.

Bryan, in your opinion which would you recommend if starting CP's for the first time? I ask because I am thinking of ordering Tricomin.

Thanks

I'm not Bryan but in my opinion, assuming you're willing to deal with the mess of folligen I would say its a coin flip.

I have used both products--each for well over a year--and found Folligen to be much more effective as far as thickening hair and scalp health.

Tricomin was a nice styling tool but did little for my hair in the long run.

Well there's been a few studies which have shown that some specific copper peptide sequences are more effective than others when it comes to treating hairloss. So the particular sequence of the CP's is an important factor... which is where Tricomin has the blue copper peptides which are shown to be effective SOD's. Folligen might make up for its lack of specific sequence CP's through quantity (it's pretty easy to mix soy protein with cupric chloride to produce random CP's)... MAYBE.

Thats about where comes down to IMO.

smorgasbord Vs single c-peptide.

My concern has always been how much true punch does tricomin have.

I just wish Dr Pickart would run his product through a few detergents.

PropeciaJunkie, have you had any improvement or sides from adding dutasteride once a week to your regimen?

Is there difference in Tricomin's CP and Prox-N's CP?

To take out the nasty green color. Dr Pickart told me personally they could do it but its not worth the cost for this product.

I actually received a bottle of Folligen solution a few months ago that was actually blue I was surprised since it's always been green. I wonder if the freshness of the product has anything to do with the color. The ingredients didn't indicate any new ingredients---dye etc. and it sure smells the same.

Mine's blue (but then again, my wife always accuses me of being color blind).
