Folligen Lotion for Hairline

I just wanted to let you all know that since I've been using Folligen Lotion beginning on Oct 2, 2009 I have witnessed a quite noticeable increase in hairs around my hairline. I'm not receding at all but I wanted to see if it would thicken the area up and the results took me by surprise. My temples, which I would put at a norwood 1.5 are filling in like crazy, in fact it seems as though my hairs gonna connect to my eyebrows from the temple haha. I am also sprouting hairs below my hairline, which is kinda odd because the couples terminal hairs that I have spotted are forming a widows peak below my hairline; I've never even had a widow's peak which is kinda confusing me. The lotion is harder to apply to my crown area so I might purchase Folligen Spray to use in that area instead.

I'll try and post some pictures tomorrow.

The spray is pretty messy.

I love folligen but damn I wish it wasn't so green....
Cassin, didn't you try out hair signals?

yes I have....I have tried

lotion
cream
spray
hair signals
tricomin spray

and I tried some other copper peptide shampoo/conditioner combo but I can't remember what it was.

I think Folligen is VERY underrated. The problem with it, as Cassin mentioned, is that it is messy as hell.

minoxidil, plus finasteride, plus Nizoral, plus Folligen equals a winner IMO.

Daynite, I am a diffuse thinner and I use the cream. The trick is to apply when your hair is still a bit greasy from the minoxidil; it will spread better. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice JVM, I don't use minoxidil, but maybe it will be easier to apply right after a shower.

I think that Folligen is beginning to promote vellus hair growth in my crown area along with finasteride. The area feels a lot fuzzier, and looks different than before - less shiny or something.

Do you still think that folligen spray would be too hard to apply to the crown/vertex area? It seems as though a spray solution would hit cover the whole area better.

Thoughts?

That would be something rather special Folligen making those minoxidil velous hairs sprout out like normal hairs....

Anyone else notice if folligen is doing this for themselves ?

Daynite

Yes, I think applying after a shower is a great idea, and yes, I think using the spray on the crown and the lotion on the hairline sounds like another winner.

Be warned though, the spray is a lot stronger than the lotion and can sting at first. This usually takes a few weeks to subside and then you should be fine.

Good luck!

Are you guys talking about scalp health, or hair thickening/regrowth?

Both, in my case. It won't turn you into Elvis, and I would advise minoxidil over it any day if you had to pick one over the other, but I feel it is the perfect adjunct to a topical minoxidil regimen.

There was a guy who used to post on here named "Rockinreel" and he swore by Folligen cream. Was a long-time finasteride and minoxidil user and claims when he added Folligen it filled in and thickened his hairline rather well.

He did have pictures, but keep in mind they were after pics. Still, he was a long-standing member and anything but a spammer.

Probably a dumb question, but do you guys all agree that folligen is better for the hairline the spironolactone cream?

I never really understood copper peptides (Which is what Folligen is, right?) method of action.

Cassin, you're from UK right? Where do/did you get it from?

I'm thinking of buying folligen. A couple of questions though, does it affectively inhibit DHT, or is it mostly a growth stimulant. I'm also thinking of trying trycomin alongside Folligen, is this redundant? if not, in what order should they be applied.
