Hi, my hair is still thinning i thought it may be a shed but has been ongoing since last year october :( so i think im just losing the battle of balding at 23!! :sobbing: anyways i was thinking of buying folligen to stimulate some regrowth rather than rogaine as rogaine is more expensive and sounds like alot of hassle (i'll buy that when my hairs really bad) my question is with folligen if i buy a bottle use it and get some regrowth do i keep having to use it to maintain my regrowth like you do with rogaine??

I just ordered a bottle of folligen cream. I've never used copper peptides. I've been on the big 3 for over a year and I've maintained but I'm hoping this gives me a small improvement on the hairline. I don't have very high expectations though.

Do you have to keep using it if you have any regrowth the way you do with rogaine?

I was on Hair Signals (liquid Folligen) for about 2 month and I lost faith due to the following reasons...

While the big 3 has given me visible and consistent results, when I began Hair Signals, I felt like I was exploring Mars because unlike minoxidil or finasteride which initiated huge shed waves, Folligen/Hair Signals just wasn't designed to react that way. Instead, it burned my scalp upon application and left burnt holes/blackheads/inflammed tiny scabs/green residues on my hairline. At first, this burning sensation upon application inspired confidence, however upon daily usage, this soon became an annoying hassle. The inflammation eventually went away but the way the product left entrenched green residues/crystallized particles on my hairline daily did not.

Upon inquiring on this wonderful forum, I downgraded my dosage to drops. However, upon continuous usage of this product daily, I noticed the product continues to taint my pillows, my hat, and attracted worried questions from onlookers and families. There is also a very strong men's cologne scent that is attached to this product, I'd describe this scent ranges from rotten eggs to turn of the mill big fashion corporate cologne scents depending on the eye of the beholder.

Not a very incognito product.

I have no doubt there are good science behind Copper Peptides. However, I could no longer stand Folligen/Hair Signals' unfriendly smell. One could only bear with a great product for so much until it become ridiculously difficult to utilize. If you are having a hard time trying to fit minoxidil into your daily schedule. My advise is don't pick up Folligen. I am certain my experiences with Folligen is not singular, as other members on this forum will concur.

Best of luck!!

Oh, by the way, I forgot to add that Hair Signals make your hair look green, so forget about using it during the day. I thought I'd conceal this problem with a hat, but the green actually soaked through my hat! In sum, while I don't recommend Folligen/Hair Signals to be a viable daily option. I'd rate Hair Signals/Folligen as very good topical "vitamin-like" product but whether it has long term beneficial results is entirely up for grabs to me.

I just got my first bottle of folligen cream today. I can't help but feel like it's snake oil. No instructions, and a bootleg looking sticker on the front of a tiny white bottle. No instructions or ingredients list. It's this metallic blue color and left my scalp with a blue residue. I'll use it every other day to see if it helps me grow some velus hairs I have on my juvenile hairline. Not sure if I'll keep up with it though after this first bottle.

Snake oil? Whoa wait a minute I feel I have to leave a reply here. I was losing 150+ hairs daily for the last 6 years or so, and tried just about every product on the market to stop the fallout. After having wasted sh#tloads of cash, it was Folligen that turned out to be the holy grail for me. I started it 3 months ago or so and it almost completely halted my hairloss, within weeks. It was almost a surreal experience, not having clumps of hairs in my hands when washing my hair.

Oh and I use Folligen for Blondes and the spray interchangeably. If you have staining problems, then I suggest giving the blondes one a try, since it is white...

Good luck guys.

did you get regrowth or did it just halt your loss? also if i buy 1 bottle and get some regrowth would i have to keep using it to maintain or could i just keep using finasteride & nizoral?

Cool. thanks for your story. I obviously don't know if it's snake oil without first trying it myself but it just gave me a weird feeling. I haven't dabbled with anything outside of the big 3 but hearing your story gives me hope. How often do you use it? I might do it once every other day. You think thats enough?

I have been growing vellus hair with minoxidil. I've read that Copper Peptide is a good addition to stimulate these vellus hair into turning terminal. Would you agree with that?

And is there a big difference between regular Folligen Spray and Folligen for Blondes (as it is not sold here)?

Folligen Spray is a very dark colored liquid, as thin as water. Folligen for Blondes is more of a cream, that you apply with your fingertips. Folligen for Blondes actually contains tin peptides instead of copper peptides. I've asked Dr. Pickart about the effectiveness of these tin peptides, and he truely believes they're even more beneficial than copper peptides, but doesn't have any scientific studies to back it up. Seems to work for me though.
Interesting.

Do you then know if Folligen Cream is Folligen for Blondes?

also

Do you know if there is much difference between Folligen Cream and Folligen Lotion?

Thanks, skallagrimur

Joshua,

What's your hair loss pattern like, and what type of minoxidil are you using now after dropping Xandrox?

joshua,

Do you use Folligen for Blondes everyday or EOD? Do you follow Dr. Pickart's advice and in the last week of the month you dont use the product?

joshua,

From Dr. Pickart's website Skinbiology (http://store.reverseskinaging.com/Produ ... =TechSpecs) and I quote

"How to Use
1. Apply a small amount of the Folligen for Blondes on your scalp from the squeeze bottle. Gently rub this lightly into your scalp.

2. On alternate nights, apply a small a light coating of Emu Oil for Hair.

3. The last week of the month, use neither of these products.

4. At the start of the next month, resume the use of Folligen for Blondes and Emu Oil for Hair. Again, use no products during the final week of the month.

5. This procedure often reduces hair loss in one month and results in thicker hair in about four months."

joshua your story sounds like mine,if i could go back 18 months back i will never complain about hairloss i was a good NW2 with diffuse loss
i went on minoxidil and xandrox, the area where i applied xandrox became slick bald and the minow area i lost 70%,of the hair i had,iam left with a solid hairline, anything else is gone
so i have gotten now on RU,and copper peptides i hopei can get back what i lost with minoxidil and xandrox

xandrox 15 is some nasty sh*t by the sounds of it

ive read about 20-25 reports on it all saying they had sheds with no sign of recovery until ceasation. WTF?

anyway, joshua, whats this stuff like on the hair? it is greasy, does it mess your hair, is it thick, and do you apply it at the same time as minoxidil? my hair is pretty delicate as its so thin already i dont like anything making my hair stick etc :(

Ordered folligen for blondes now! :woot:

The plan is to alternate minoxidil+spironolactone and minoxidil+FFB+Emu oil EOD night time. Started to get a itchy scalp lately so hope this helps.. The itch might just be ret-a irritation as i started to use it more frequently...

Whould it be a point of using ret-a when you do folligen? Both is for improved scalp quality. Atleast pause the ret-a until i used folligen for a month or 2?
